Exclusive: Filmmakers Janeen and Michael Damian have entered into three-picture directing and producing deal with Brad Krevoy’s Motion Picture Corporation of America, Mpca CEO Krevoy announced on Wednesday.
Perhaps best known for their work on an array of holiday-themed projects, the Damians have previously collaborated with Krevoy on titles including Moondance Alexander, A Princess for Christmas, The Sweeter Side of Life, A Royal Christmas, Crown for Christmas, The Christmas Waltz and Falling for Christmas.

Leading off the Damians’ new slate with Mpca is the Lohan-led Netflix rom-com Irish Wish, directed by Janeen and produced by Michael, which is slated for release in 2024. Second on the list is Paris Christmas Waltz,...

Feel-good family-friendly Christmas movies are a dime a dozen, and so are films about independent young women unexpectedly becoming royalty through a “spontaneous” romance that proves she’s in love and not seeking riches and titles. A Princess for Christmas, directed by Michael Damian, blends these two genres together and comes out with a mangled, simplistic story filled with wooden acting, stilted writing, and a chain of events that make little sense save for the fact that they’re prerequisites for any basic “average girl becomes a princess” kind of film. It’s unfortunate that the basic structure and elements are so horribly executed because there are enough strong cast members, like Merlin’s Katie McGrath, Charlotte Salt, and Roger Moore, that a more talented director could have made a memorable holiday distraction.

Katie McGrath was born on October 24, 1983 in Ashford, County Wicklow, Ireland. She attended Trinity College in Dublin and graduated in History. Katie never considered acting as a career. Her real interest was in fashion journalism. After graduation she worked for lifestyle and fashion magazine, Image. Katie's mother had a friend who was an assistant director on the TV series The Tudors (TV). This friend was instrumental in getting Katie a job as a wardrobe assistant on the series. While working on The Tudors (TV) Katie said "A couple of producers said I should give acting a try. I just thought, "Why not?" It's like running away to join the circus, everyone wants to do it when they're young but then you grow up and get a proper job." Taking their advise she sent her photographs to Irish agents. As a result, she landed the plum role of Morgana on the...

To put a new spin on an old phrase, hell hath no fury like a sorceress scorned.
So goes the tale of Merlin, the international hit series that begins its fourth season on Syfy next Friday, January 6 with the first of a two-part episode that finds Morgana’s blinkered determination threatening not only Arthur’s future, but the very balance of the world. With her magic stronger than ever, the sorceress summons the mighty Callieach to tear open the veil between the worlds. Hellish creatures pour forth, killing any who succumb to their touch. With King Uther a shadow of his former self, it falls to Merlin, Arthur and his loyal Knights to protect the kingdom.
Katie McGrath has spent four years evolving the character of Morgana, once the beloved ward to the king who discovers she is actually his daughter. That secret is revealed to her through her half-sister,...

Sir Roger Moore returns to television on December 3 in a Hallmark Hall of Fame family movie, A Princess for Christmas (see photo above). Sir Roger also reflected recently on James Bond films past and present: he's a big fan of Daniel Craig and acknowledges that if he had to do as many stunts during his tenure as 007, "I would have been dead after the first movie!" He also says the 1977 flick The Spy Who Loved Me was the most fun to film. For more click here...
