Brooke is still at odds with her cellmates, but holds her ground with the brash women. When she receives a visitor, it is Pamela Gellar who introduces herself as Brooke's attorney. Pamela informs Brooke that she will have to stay behind bars until the court hearing. Brooke is shocked that it is possible that, because of the severity of the charges, she may not be granted bail. Eric talks to James and his lawyer Jonathan about Brooke and her arrest for kidnapping. The legal and psychological expert clash with their respective assessment whether Brooke is a fit mother or should be barred from guardian right. Eric only wants what is best for the children. James suggests that he examines Brooke to determine her emotional and mental state to find out whether Brooke is a danger to Rick and Bridget. A furious Ridge confronts a dazed Stephanie and threatens to cut all ties with his mother in light of her recent actions against Brooke, before he storms off. When Stephanie begins to see visions of Brooke, she calls Maggie for help. Fearing for her own sanity, Stephanie wants to be taken to a psychiatric hospital immediately.
