I've never felt so disappointed in my life, yet this episode was still good..
Splarke2220 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The 5th to final episode of The 100 ever. This was a make or break episode in many ways. There were lots of things to be excited about coming into 7x12, but I'm left feeling utterly disappointed after watching what was actually a pretty good episode of The 100. All hope I had for Bellamy Blake getting a good ending to his story is gone. Bellamy is being written the way the writers wanted his story to head, not the way that would've been authentic & true to his character. The last little bit of hope I had for Bellamy & Clarke getting together, is gone as well. Imagine how great that scene would've been if Bellamy saw Clarke's radio calls to him in those years they were separated. That could've not only snapped Bellamy out of the BS he's believing in, but it would've also catapulted us towards a Bellarke endgame. Instead, we got a short, pointless scene of Clarke struggling in the chair. Sigh.

Some positives I have for the episode: Bellamy talking to (mostly) Clarke & Octavia in their cell was incredible. Imagine if we could've seen Eliza & Bob acting together more in Season 7.. Just that one scene alone delivered a ton of heartfelt emotions that other episodes have struggled to produce. I absolutely loved this scene, even though it might've sealed Bellamy's fate of having a terrible ending & possibly dying while everyone still hates him. I also loved all the stuff with Murphy as well, I feel like the writers have done a great job staying consistent with him by building upon the 6 prior seasons of character development he's had. Seeing how great of a job they've done with Murphy just makes me more upset over how they screwed up Bellamy Blake's character so much.

The ending is great as well. We see Bill send our group to a planet other than Sanctum, assuring Clarke they'll be safe if she follows through with her word. Then it ends with Clarke returning to Sanctum & coming face to face with Sheidheda & a tied up Murphy.

The trailer for 7x13 shows that it's gonna be Clarke, Bellamy, Raven, Cadogan, Gabriel, & Douchette all on Sanctum now after going through the anomaly. It unfortunately looks like the episode will also be mostly filler though, as it seems they're gonna be dealing with bugs... yeah. I'm really curious to see what the real endgame for the show will be. It's going to either be a war against Sheidheda or the "Last War" stuff with the anomaly. My gut is telling me those two events aren't going to end up being the same thing, so I'm curious when/how we'll see them both play out & what the aftermath will be. 4 episodes left..

Honestly, this whole season is trash. Though I liked season 6, I would have preferred if they had just stopped at 5, that season ended on a pretty good note

Warning: Spoilers
Murphy and Emori really stepped up this season, right. They, surprisingly, became the heroes, which was great to see. Definitely the weakest season imo but then again most OG fans were just watching for the characters and bc it was the final season. I really liked episode 11 bc it was just two characters journey and that kind of life changing bonding happens irl during extreme circumstances. Anyway onto the next episode!😁😁. What's so crazy is that I'm not even big on Bellamy or Bellarke or Clarke or Octavia (I'm a weirdo who likes more side characters and some of the mysteries of the plot).....and this season makes like ZERO sense to me and is so awfully vague and weird. Nothing feels meaningful and important and so much of the past narratives feel like they've been dropped or were unimportant. To me the whole show started to slip story wise after S4 was over and Jason hired all those new sci-fi writers from S5 on. This final season should be titled "Vagueries", it's so vague and abstract that I literally couldn't tell anyone what this final season was about as far as plot or themes go. Compare this to like S4 lets say where there was mystery and complexities that were being solved and figured out and narrative threads being connected in a way more intricate way. There have been no satisfying reveals up to this point this season at all. I can't think of one tbh. The final seasons isn't rewarding viewers at all in any way to want to stick with the story. As a writer myself I know that it's important to give readers some type of satisfying resolution of small things along the way that reward the investment of their time and energy and motivate them to want to keep reading and caring about your story....this show is completely failing with that in its final season.

I just feels like everything is so chaotic and everything is just gonna collaspe in the last episode. I'm looking forward to see how it's going to work out.

Finally, an episode where the main characters are the main focus of the episode.

Warning: Spoilers
I have to say, I'm glad the writers gave more amount of screen time to side characters like Diyoza, Indra, Emori..., because now it feels satisfying. Now, it's time for the main characters, like Clarke and the others, to have more screen time. This episode feels like "the calm" before the storm, because it teases us many things towards the series finale. Besides, I still don't get how people thought they would see Lexa in Clarke's mind in the M-Cap. Let that girl alone, and she will come back eventually in a better way, don't start dreaming about it, just let that happen. I loved the interaction between Murphy and Emori, as always, they are great, and I love they have more screen time this season. Sheidheda is getting a full, well-developed storyline, which I think it's great, because it's a commander, and he's tied up to the past of the grounders. I'm glad they restored that for this season. And let's not forget about Bellamy, the main focus on this episode. It's clearly he believes absolutely in Bill, but if the writers do this well, this could be a great redemption arc for Bellamy. And, of course, Gaia, who is more likely on Earth. This ties up with 7x14, which is called "A sort of Homecoming". A sort of Homecoming to Earth, in which we will see how the rest of the characters went to Earth after Bill sent them to it (but that's already a theory which it's still in works XD). To sum up, a great episode full of character and plot development.

not liking the direction
Abdulxoxo10 September 2020
I'm not sure how I feel about the brainwashed Bellamy, but something tells me that is not good. season 7 have been poor so far, too many disjointed stories. the direction s7 is taking doesn't show a sign that this show is going to end well. I hope they won't ruin this show.

Disappointing but that's what we can expect at this stage
raviteja-kr20 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Emori doesn't have anything to lose so they threaten to blow up the reactor. But children of Gabriel who actually can fight, just die without any fight. So dumb writing.

Clark keeps making a ton of deals. That's funny. lol.

Why would sheidheda make deals and why would he abide by the deals? lol again.

A lot of drama which could have not been irritating if only the plot was good.

The worst episode because of belamy
achatdz14 November 2023
Clarke is still on track The worst mentality as a leader kills The writer wants to always make Clarke a heroine, even if the consequences of killing beloved characters. He needs to change the miserable ending for every season. At least Clark can get two seasons as a heroine, not all Bellamy was brainwashed and will die because he did not implement a scenario with Jaha when he was brainwashed regarding the City of Light I'll tell you because Clarke didn't have artificial intelligence and her face was the grounders and the 12 tribes We want Clark to stop this nonsense in her business Because it spoils many beautiful scenarios.
