It was okay, kind've slow

Warning: Spoilers
So I was happy to finally see Bellamy in an episode. It's crazy it's the last season and this is the first real episode he was actually in.

However, I feel the episode was overall pretty slow and a little boring. Yes, it had a few good parts of character development but I don't think the whole episode needed to just be focused on the 2 of them.

And with only a few episodes left I don't know why they would choose to make Bellamy turn on Clarke at the end. They won't have enough episodes to develop that plot and turn him back without it feeling rushed.

I feel season 7 overall is the worst of all the seasons. I think it has a few really great episodes but as a whole it is definitely the weakest. I really hope they don't ruin the ending.

Weeks in a forest, and he doesn't build a ladder
Rob-O-Cop15 August 2020
Great to see Bob Morley back with some screen time. He's an enjoyable actor to watch and immediately lifted his scenes. That slippery rock wall that was 2 men high eh? insurmountable, .......... If only there was wood and rope to make a ladder. Ok that wouldn't have helped that much in the long run as they needed 2 people to complete the journey. Too bad the person who loves everyone equally decided to start off their stay by instigating a fight that left them both badly beaten just to get it to stop. Maybe that's the point of this show. A parallel to battling factions on earth who continually make the wrong choices to create different paths to the easiest peaceful one, but that wouldn't make a very interesting show, or would it?

So Bellamy doesn't make a ladder and he reads the cults manual and does a little bit of prey pray, and it does achieve something. We're not sure what. I'm not seeing Bellamy's betrayal as going full traitor, more cutting the crap and moving things forward. The Shepherd isn't necessarily evil, he isn't going around killing 'our team' in the way they are knocking off his team, he just has a different objective.

I don't know about the kneeling to the shepherd thing, I wasn't sold on that. Bellamy can acknowledge the other teams validity without going full on religious nutter. Hopefully that's not the character path that's been written for him. I like that Shepherd Bill is written as a normal guy with different insight and a lot of info 'our team' don't have. hopefully it will play out in a way that isn't all about killing people. I'm a bit bored with that answer to every question, but maybe that's the point of the show. 'our team is the US and all it's military 'solutions' that leave many dead and nothing solved, and Team US oblivious to it's mistakes that it keeps repeating over and over. Bit depressing really, but, relevant.

Still Too Much Story Left To Tell
ruanstb13 August 2020
I can only conclude that the writers want to tell much more than the amount of episodes left to do that, which isn't a bad thing in itself... but it's left me feeling a little worried about how the show will end. This was a good episode, I wish they had focused more on the Bardo storyline earlier on, instead of running into so many directions.

Bellamy is back & so is our beloved show!
Splarke2213 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Something, or rather someone, has been missing from The 100 for almost all of Season 7 up until this episode.. 7x11 brought with it the heart of the show, Bellamy Blake, who made his long-awaited return in a thrilling episode showing his journey on Etherea and getting off of the planet. Bellamy ended up getting sort of brainwashed into believing in The Shepherd & his ways after seeing his mom & going into the light. After returning to Bardo, we see Bellamy is no longer the same Bellamy we've known & loved for 7 seasons. Whether he's fully brainwashed, a willing believer, or a mixture of both, he's now with the enemy. Seeing Clarke & Octavia's reactions to Bellamy being alive was amazing & Clarke hugging him was so great! But the episode ends with a bang, as Bellamy instantly betrays Clarke & the rest of his friends, leaving the fate of everyone up in the air going into 7x12.

I think it's awesome having void Bellamy, but I really just can't fathom why this didn't happen sooner in the season. I still refuse to believe Bob asked for THAT much time off (we still haven't even heard from the man himself the truth behind his absence this season, only a small quote from Jason). It's no secret Bob & Jason do not like each other & there's some bad blood behind the scenes between the two, stuff we might not ever fully find out about. I really hope Bob's absence isn't because of Jason being petty, as many have speculated. That being said, I just wish we got to see more of Bellamy in S7, as I feel like there's not enough episodes left (only 5 total) for us to see a void Bellamy storyline play out fully & have him be saved in time. This leads me to believe there's a huge chance we'll see Bellamy die while still brainwashed, which would be quite literally the worst possible ending I could think of for this show.

Could have been better

Warning: Spoilers
I really liked this episode. It didnt feel slowly for me. Im happy we see bellamy in one episode, which is pretty emotional and shows the real human being.

But however I think is kinda late to tell the story properly (with only 5 episodes left). I think they spent too much time with Hope,Sanctum...

Anyway, I'm so excited to watch the final!!!

Bellamy is the only guy that can walk into a room and have 3 beautiful women stare at him with the purest most unconditional love ever but in 3 very different ways. Friendship, Family and Desire. So happy he's back. I knew he wasn't dead.

Bellamy is no Raven

Very good philosophical episode about humanity and faith. But if it was Raven stuck on that climb, she would have cut a tree and used the log to incline it on that ledge.

Another writers mistake
xdanimalx-9743724 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So let me get this straight, Bellamy made rabbit skin stretchers, found rabbits, made cave doors, and plenty of clothing ? Not to mention found food and healed a guy.... All In One Week ? Yet could make a simple ladder similar to his cave door to get up a 12 foot rock face? I've watched tv shows (most are legit) about people failing constantly just looking for more than a mouse to eat.

Indra ! Heading to the finale,
theknownames4 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Well, one thing I have learned over the seasons is that everything can change in a minute. While I suspect ( or hope ) how this will all end, we aren't there quite yet and a lot can ( and will) happen in final episodes. I wasn't expecting much from the last 2 seasons but I have been pleasantly surprised especially, by this final season . Albeit impossible to end this in a way that will make everyone happy or to fill the void after the this show ends. The end of season 5 could have gone much differently in the last moments and negated 2 more seasons. I am grateful they forged on to make 100 episodes . As I said before, there really is nothing like this for sci fi fans , it's an ongoing and engrossing series that has its limitations , but overall excellent . This could have been made into 30 minute episodes lasting for years. In this episode, dynamics of faith were explored and reflected appropriate time and trials leading to indoctrination needed. Indra , a beloved character is working double time this season. She has been holding down the fort in the absence of her cast mates. India's , character itself , it's longevity and her relationship with her daughter give me a vested interest in her journey and in this episode she was awesome

This was the most divisive episode for me
Neptune16518 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Simultaneously a great episode because of its visuals and a cool new world, and a terrible one because it's the start of one of the worst ways I've seen a main characters arc get butchered. I actually was interested enough in Bellamys turn to the other side, and was looking forward to how everything would pan out. Only for nothing logical conclusion wise to happen. I honestly feel for Bellamy during this episode because he gets blasted into the anomaly onto Etherea and is stuck with this one disciple who tries to kill him but Bellamy saves him because he doesn't want to fight, he just wants to get back to his family and the people he loves and cares about so he works together with this disciple who is preaching the way of the shepard the whole way and becomes 2 months they are stuck there, Bellamy is probably losing hope at this point that anyone is coming for him so he decides to pray this one time and he sees Cadogan and then he sees his mother who guides him towards the light and then storm breaks, giving him a sign to continue on and give him the strength to carry on when he had none and that made him believe which I understand why he has chosen to believe in this faith because this faith basically kept him alive and kept him going through the worst that happened on Etherea. I know it is sudden and quick but Bellamy telling Cadogan that Clarke didn't have the flame in her head isn't much of a betrayal but more him trying to delaying the inevitable because once Cadogan eventually finds out that Clarke does not have the flame in her head like she's getting him to believe, She and everyone there would have been killed. Also I know it's acting but I find it funny seeing Bellamy trying to climb up that cliff and failing when his actor Bob Morley knows how to Rock Climb in real life and is excellent at it. It just makes me laugh every time I see that scene.

Idk what to think...
kedavien-1453113 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I've loved moments of this season, but this is the LAST SEASON. We only have 5 episodes left and they've decided to make Bellamy crazy, how is there going to be time for a proper redemption after this? They spent a whole season on Octavia redemption after bloodreina which worked out well. I'm honestly so sad and nervous about how the show is going to come to a end. We have not gotten nearly enough screen time of the most of the main characters (Clarke, Bellamy, Octavia, and Raven) I feel we've gotten a lot of Murphy this season which is we some but Clarke and Bellamy has barely gotten any decent screen time this season. It started off amazing in episode 1 with Clarke's badass speech and she was the full on leader but we haven't gotten to have moments like that since.... :( I'm getting worried the ending is going to be too rushed and lackluster I hope I'm wrong though.

Extraordinarily moving episode
onlineprofit1 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
After watching sci for over 30 years I would rate this episode as an all time favourite. Two men stuck on a planet have to work together to survive. A hard nosed pragmatist v's someone with genuine faith. Arrogence whittled down by the harsh conditions finally opens up to a new experience of reality. Embracint this reality helps them both survive and return to their life, one forever changed. Brilliant story telling.

*sigh*
michellekmmadsen12 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly, I predicted that the showrunners didn't have the guts to kill off Bellamy. I really wish I was wrong though.

No matter what happens, no matter the stakes, Clarke and Bellamy always survive. There's no mortal consequences for them.

And then to make Bellamy a religious fanatic!? Always siding with the bad guys, on the opposite side of his friends and family, and still no consequence.

Off topic, but I swear to god.. If the only reason the show kept Niylah alive is to have Clarke date her, I'm going to flip out.
