I never would have conceived of Hallmark making a show like this. But I'm watching the second episode now, and I really like it a lot. A very pleasant surprise. 😊

Bakers were great; Judges not so much!

It seemed like the competition included the personalities of bakers, as well as how cute they looked, their interactions with other contestants and if they told a great story....which I can understand the great story part. But one judge went on and on how a contestant looked; to me it was creepy. I didn't hear why the guy won when they repeatedly said his two cookies tasted practically the same. I hope hallmark will fine tune their judging standards to be about the baking and not about the other stuff. I am posting this review because it didn't feel like a real baking contest and hearing those comments made me feel badly for the contestants who worked hard to bake something only to be told how cute she looked when her eyes sparkled! What criteria did they use to judge their creations?
