Directed by the great William Witney, this RESCUE 8 episode is not exceptional here. It is not on the same scale as the one I saw last week, with the bus trapped under a mountain after a titanic explosion. This episode was very unexpected. But the one I am commenting today, well, it bored me. The predictable scheme, but only one little thing woke me up: the music score, especially during the climax. This is EXACTLY the same music score that will be used thirteen years later in NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, when the zombies walk to the farm in the final assault. I heard it again and again to be sure. Positive at one hundred percent. OK, I guess many épisodes in many shows used it. But I nevertheless found that surprising.
That's the only thing that woke me up in this episode, despite Bill Witney's direction.
