Tommy refuses but the local pours whisky into a glass tumbler until it is about half-full and insists again that Tommy drink.
Tommy again refuses but, despite nobody having touched the glass, it is now less than a quarter-full.
A few moments later, the glass is half full again despite not having been touched.
It is cited that alcohol is to be shipped to Boston, New York City and Toronto - but in the 1930s, Montreal was not only a larger city but also the business hub of Canada.
