Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • This show is a wrestling show so plenty of slapstick violence and plenty of blood. Weapons are used often including steel chairs and crazy weapons like barbed wire and thumbtacks and sometimes can be pretty graphic and wrestlers can be dripping with blood
  • Weapons include but are not limited to, forks, glass, chains, ropes, barbed wires etc. Obviously no gore but things can get pretty bloody. Nothing is past TV-14 standards, however it might still be disturbing to people of that age and higher.
  • Sometimes the wrestlers partake in "Deathmatches" which are extremely violent and bloody matches to an extent, as sometimes they fall into barbed wire, glass and other perforating material.

Profanity

  • Promos aren't scripted so wrestlers can pretty much say what they want to an extent.
  • TV-14 level language is frequently used in every episode, especially "Shit", "Asshole", "Damn", "Bitch" and "Dick". Other words are used as well. "Fuck" is used as well, not not as frequently due to the TV-14 rating, and it is sometimes bleeped.
  • Dan Lambert probably says the most
  • Dan Lambert probably says the most curse words in the entire show since he has come to AEW.
  • On the January 19, 2022 episode, Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose) unleashes an F-bomb at a heckler, which isn't bleeped.
  • On the June 1, 2022 episode of Dynamite, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, known as the initials of that name, called Tony Khan a "f***ing mark" during a pipebomb involving a contract termination demand. 11/292023 Adam Copland said go fuck youself.
  • Moderate level TV-14 swears are used. "Fuck" is infrequently used although it is sometimes bleeped.
  • Both Christian Cage and Adam Copeland said "Go F Yourself" to each other on live TV!

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Beer and wine are shown pretty often and wrestlers drink it a lot. One wrestler drinks a lot of beer and is drunk sometimes. Another wrestler made his own wine to which he sells and drinks it. Some scenes take place in bars

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some scenes have a lot of blood which some people might not like to see. Some scenes are emotional and dark. Sometimes people get ganged up and are seriously injured

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • No explicit nudity, though some female wrestlers have a lot of cleavage showing and innuendos and mild sexual jokes

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Twice in the history of this programme, two different wrestlers were whipped with a belt by a male heel (villain) wrestler. Although scripted, this could be distressing for younger viewers.
