  • When Frydo's (Fry's) two alter egos are fighting with each other, he asks, "S'awright?" and the other replies, "S'awright!", a routine made famous by the Spanish ventriloquist Senor Wences, and his character Pedro, a disembodied head in a box.

  • E. Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons and Dragons (the game on which this film is based) died in 2008. 'Bender's Game' is dedicated to him and he is listed in the credits, although he only appears in one short post-credits scene (archive footage from an appearance he made as himself on Futurama).
