One Flew Over the Writer's Room
Ray Daley drops off his parents at Heathrow for a holiday. He's gotta get his dad's mini cab back home, except a beautiful, well-dressed lady steps into his cab and asks him to drive off, spinning a tale of escaping an abusive relationship.

Arthur senses an earner so he puts her up at Ray's parents' house.

Hot on the trail are a couple of badly dressed guys. Turns out they're the Series 10 coppers. They make almost no impression at all, which is a far cry from Rycott, Chisholm and Morley, who were stealing scenes right from the get-go.

Ray bickers with Arthur, who casts aspersions on the young lady, who is being watched by the coppers AND a couple of other villains.

It's all very tedious and the tone is mistakenly ominous, similar to the worst episodes in the middle of Season 9. Even Arthur's cunning linguistics got on my nerves.

At least Ray gets in a decent punch-up for a change.

The high point, such as it is, features the brilliant Tony Robinson (Baldrick from Black Adder) as a Daley Enterprises temp. He's in on the episode's punchline and it's a good one.

This episode could have been a lot better with a table read and a re-write. More Tony Robinson, less shenanigans involving the tasty bird.
