Fun and some proper emotions

Those complaining that this isn't the faux upper classes of Downtown Abbey (the imaginings of a Tory peer about how life should be with the plebs grateful and the nobs benevolent) I for one find this refreshing and fun. It's not supposed to be historically accurate (nobody here fighting Napoleon) but a morality tale based on real people. And Taylor Swift wasn't around in 1813. The two leads are excellent, there is genuine attraction and sexual tension between them and the sex scenes are actually erotic. The cast is strong and bring colour to their characters. Polly Walker is as good as ever and Ruby Barker is fabulous. Adjoha Andoh steals every scene she is in and Claudia Jessie is suitably free spirited. This is an enjoyable watch and should be taken for what it is not an airbrushed genteel fantasy but some well acted and made tv.

Episode 7: A tempestuous colorful episode involving various main and supporting characters, having developments moving the story forward, testing relationships and friendships alike, "orage" blooming in the horizon, beautiful setting, costumes, marvelous photography, filming and score.

Daphne is growing up episode by episode, each time a parcel of her soul gone.

Pregnancy

The duke and duchess are tense. The duchess arrives back home to help take care of her brother being in a scandal.

Eloise agrees to go to the ball to update the queen on her findings. The queen brushes her answers away and says she no longer needs Eloise. The brother says he thinks he has heard enough at this concert despite them being there only for a very short time and Eloise tells him he was always her fave brother.

In the carriage ride back the brother asks to stop at the dress shop and they pick up Madam Delacroix. The brother asks Eloise to not say anything to their mother.

Marina mixes a tea and Penelope finds her on the floor.

During a concert Daphne feels a rush and goes to the back room, fearing she got her period. They call menstruating "courses". She got it and cries. Her mother comes in and hugs her. Simon hears the crying, probably believing she got her period meaning she is not pregnant.

Favorite scene with

Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) - Very upset when she gets her Monthly and being comforted by her mother.

Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) - During the carriage ride with Benedict and Genevieve. Coming to the sudden realization as to whom Lady Whistledown is - she thinks it's Lady Featherington.

Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) - Finding Marina unconscious on the floor in her bedroom.

Another episode full of scandal and mystic all the while being perfectly predictable. The duke and duchess quarrel while flames of passion burn wildly and misunderstandings abound. decent acting and good costuming.

Good promise to spice up the show a bit with some variation from the usual soap that goes through the storyline. Eventually, it was the same luxurious costumes put on weak characters. Wasnt convinced at all by acting.

I think I've ran out of booze during the "spot the bleached dreadlocks guy" drinking game. Also, could anyone recommend me an acupuncture specialist or an ointment that could relieve the pain I got in my index finger due to all of the fast-forwarding of the countless gratuitous tasteless, vulgar, mindless, animalistic copulation scenes? I really didn't sign up for a cheap XXX movie... Also #2: Will pay for some actual acting. Plus: could someone give the queen a laxative? She'd been having that face expression pointing to a chronic constipation and no other one ever since her first appearance. Sweet heavens, this show is so bad the Shonda-bunch should be paying people to watch it, not the other way around. PS. So let me get this straight: The whatsherface is OK with living childless to her hubby allegedly being sterile, but she's suddenly not OK with the same fate if it's his personal aware choice and he prefers to pull it out before he finishes? Welp, after she technically and factually raped him in the previous episode (everything in sex that is not consensual is rape and it applies to ladies too, right?), she should just go and have it her way with a bunch of butlers and stable boys until she succeeds to get preggy, and then just proclaim it a miracle and later blame her strong family genes on the child's complexion (oh wait, don't the all other but white actors in this show actually play white people? Well then, she doesn't need to do that bit at least). PS #2. Since when do roses and fruit trees are in full bloom at the same time of the year, ESPECIALLY on the British Isles?

Alternate reality

Yes it is not historically accurate but the Millenials and Gen Z viewers were not taught history and will assume this alternate reality is true. The misrepresentation of race and education across all classes and stations is wrong but does show balance. However 'recasting' actual historical figures is a poor choice.

Awful. Unrealistic, complete trash. If you want scandalous scenes with stupid storylines this episode is for you. Daphane and Simon are a pathetic couple. Miss Thompson should have been removed sooner. Not sure why people like this show. Selfish characters take the lead in this episode. I hope they don't ruin the Penelope character.
