HBO also released the 28 minute Ten Years Later: The Extended Pied Piper Documentary. Scenes of it were in this final episode.
Producer Alec Berg said that Gavin Belson's relationship with his male companion is intentionally left ambiguous: "We enjoyed the idea that he used to be the king of Hooli and now he is stuck with this guy and he has to run everything by a partner... while we were writing [the finale], were like, 'So... Gavin is gay?' And I was like, 'I don't know - is he?!'".
