There are a lot of flashbacks to this episode. It almost feels like a continuation of the pilot episode. Maybe the opening was meant to be a two parter.

Peter Swann seems to be ignoring his fiancée's connection or should it be attraction to Vincent. The latter regards his job as finished and wants payment.
Swann wants Vincent's team to continue. After all there has been a security leak and a satellite that has exploded due to sabotage. Encountering an old face means Vincent changes his mind.
The second episode works as nice, easy entertainment. There are some action set pieces, plenty of backstory and if all else fails. Peter Swann buys it all out.
