On this special Halloween edition of "Pushing Daises", Olive enlists Emerson's help of finding the murderer of a jockey she used to ride in the races with. She also confronts Chuck about "faking" her death. Meanwhile, Ned, who's startled by Chuck's Halloween decorations since they remind him of the day he found his dad with his new family after his mother's death, goes back first to his now abandoned old house and then to Chuck's aunts' house to relive some of his past. It's here that he finds out about Chuck's pies being sent there. While that's going on, Emerson, Chuck, and Olive go to a long-dead jockey's mom's (Barbara Barrie) home thinking it's his ghost that's responsible for the other jockeys' murders since when he was alive, he was supposed to win the race Olive eventually won...What another excellent episode of "Pushing Daises" this was! And to see Olive and Chuck bond for the first time was fabulous! Nice to see Ms. Barrie on screen again after "Suddenly Susan". One of the jockeys is Hamish Linklater of "The New Adventures of Old Christine". This show is just getting better and funnier. Well worth seeing for anyone with a taste for the whimsically unique.
