- When Harry & Marie (and her daughter Kiki) are at the beach having a picnic, Marie suggests they go for a swim, and we then see the two of them in water playing, kissing, and she is topless with breasts on display several times (we don't see the child who is still on beach). While that scene is playing out, Harry's mom Beth (Kidder) is next door snooping in Marie's bedroom which has a picture of Marie on wall with bare buttocks partly showing, and she opens the drawer of a bedside table where she discovers a dildo that she takes out and we clearly see.

- The married (with a possessive wife) rattlesnake collector takes the cleavage baring pharmacy woman out to catch snakes in desert. After back home his angry wife throws things at him while he's near a snake which bites him. She then pretends to call 911 for help but leaves him to die. When she later returns (drunk) we see snakes crawling over his dead body, and then she gets bitten and is on floor dying.
- Marie's ex husband shows up unexpectedly, corners her in the basement, attempts rape, and when Harry tries to save her he gets punched several times before Marie hits the ex over the head with a big pipe wrench.
- The violent act Harry's mom did against her husband that is the memory Harry has been trying to grasp from his childhood is revealed when an actress portraying a young Beth beats her husband (portrayed by actor playing Harry) and we see some blood spattering.
