Ambitious, but falls short
wijajo-725633 October 2022
This seemingly low budget film was ambitious, with a unique plot that intrigued me. The short film is a slow-burner at first, but then quickly unveils a mysterious encounter that draws you in.

While many things are done well, the plot becomes muddled at the end. Character intentions aren't fully explained by the dialogue and scenes in the film and it transitions from a unique and original plot, to a more Hollywood style battle between the hero and the one-dimensional and unbelievable villain. The film would have benefitted from more multi-dimensional characters and more ambiguous morality of key characters. Had philosophical questions replaced the more action-oriented scenes at the end, this could have been a good film.
