I already know that this is gonna be disliked to oblivion because the 10 year old took over this place. This show is terrible and has no direction, and just doesn't even make sense. They make it look like there's something "scary" or "mysterious" about this school but nothing ever happens, just some stupid diary that this random girl reads. The ending was terrible, it was so disappointing and didn't even make sense, the only reason I even watched this show is because my 9 year old little sisters dragged me along and forced me to watch it. But what can you expect, right? This show was made by brat tv and all they do is take untalented 10 year old rich spoiled social media "influencers" and make them act for a quick buck. Brat TV was obviously made for 10 year olds, but they should be watching better shows than whatever garbage this is. What is the entertainment industry becoming? Go ahead and dislike this, 10 year olds.

I mean this show is just boring and the storyline is overused. It gives me green house academy vibes but a cheap version the show goes no wear no plot twist no nothing. It awful terribly awful. I don't know if this show was supposed to be better then total eclipse but it's not. Total eclipse was a masterpiece about fantasy and reality and the power of a team and friendship and added sad scenes like when the aunt sadly dies of cancer. But crown lake is just as boring as chicken girls. Chicken girls had a little bit of fun but it was still crappy and it was supposed to be one of the best brat shows even better then total eclipse? Hell to the no!! K back to crown lake. It's utter trash and doesn't have a storyline. The acting is horrible especially Lilia. She really disappointed me after being a fake friend to the Ziegler's who Mackenzie was the lead in total eclipse. Lilia shouldn't have been casted that only one who amazed me with acting was Emily she was also in total eclipse. This show deeply had potential but they ruined it. The school is supposed to be rich and fancy but if looks like some village school and some coffee shop as dorms at least make the sets look nice. This show can be forgotten fast

Not sure why people are giving it a bad wrap, I think it's a good show for a Brat Channel program. It has a good story line and is not confusing if you have watched it from the beginning, The young actors are doing a good job considering they don't have 20 years experience.. It is just as good as some of the Network tv shows that are out now, or maybe better.
A show about nothing

We got to the 7th episode and still had no idea what the point of any of this was. The show has absolutely no direction. It just seems to wander around like a blind dog. None of the characters are likeable. If anything, the girl who's supposed to be the antagonist is probably the most sympathetic member of the cast. They keep telling us that something isn't right about the school, but there's nothing that happens that enforces this idea at all. It's just some chick reading a diary about stuff to do at the school to fit in, but everything she does fails to accomplish that goal or has no bearing on anything that's going on. Everything that could build some drama and mystery is quickly resolved and has no function past that sequence in the script. Almost nothing that happens makes any sense or advances the narrative in any way. 7 episodes in and I cant recall a scene that takes place in a classroom. It's a school without education, apparently...and how is Junior's Coffee look exactly like it does on Chicken Girls, which, for some reason that escaped us, takes place 25 years before? Why this show takes place 1994 is beyond us. It could have been 2004, 1984, 2014, whatever. It didnt make any difference. Other than one girl with crimped hair, a reference to grunge and Janet Jackson, and an old cell phone, you'll have to really dig deep to understand why this is 1994. Anyway, this show is utter crap. Anybody on here giving this a high score are either developmentally challenged and would be entertained by banging their head against the wall or simply lying...or, even more likely, both. At least one can take solace in knowing the episodes are like 12 minutes long...but who cares? This would suck if they were 90 minutes or 5. Don't watch this and put off death a little longer. The choice is yours.

The plot is stupid and confusing. The acting is mediocre at best. The whole show is so unbelievably cringing I was physically hurting. And omg the sound effects! They are too overbearing and annoying, and the music playing in the background doesn't even go with the scene. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone not even 12-year-olds.

I've spent the last couple days searching for shows aimed at "tween" aged girls to watch with my niece this summer- and this one kept my interest. This is not a Prime Time show with major network money backing it- but it is interested, well-cast, and consistently interesting from episode to episode. While my old, adult self sometimes wishes for a bit more in terms of character development or arc, I gotta remember that these are young actors, who are doing a great job! The grounds used for the school is gorgeous! I do wish they'd include some classroom scenes to add a bit more depth to the lives of the students, but that's just me.
