Literacy of the rule of law
hooraychining9 June 2019
There may be some places in this TV series that are inconsistent with actual judicial common sense, but these can't hide its merits and representativeness.

First of all, "suspecting crimes from nothing" is an important core point of the film. This view may not be a fresh theory in the Western system of society, but there is still an acceptance process for the general public in China. The film reveals the phenomenon that frequently occurs in reality: the family of the victim takes it for granted that he is the murderer and demonstrates in public to exert pressure on the state organs.

Second, "reasonable doubt" is also an important concept. The film reflects the obedience education to parents and authority in Chinese family , which leads to the lack of doubtful courage and rationality when child grows up. Fortunately, the heroine is rebellious.

Finally, the film gave the audience enough optimism and spiritual support. Even if there have been any false and wrongful cases in history, these are historically limited. With the development of the times and the popularization of the rule of law, it will eventually improve. It teaches us that it takes time to establish a society ruled by law in China, and those who persist will eventually win the justice they deserve. Justice may be late, but it will never be absent!
