Well, i was really excited about the movie from its very first teaser, but it was just an average movie with a below average plot and storytelling.
Heer maan Ja revolve around Heer's attempts to escape a forcefull wedding, a quest which leads to her reencounter with Kabir, her former love interest, diagnosed with a disease in a pathetuc manner and his near dying wish to help her in her escape.
The film lacks storytelling to such an extent that one can never know what is the exact intention of the lead cast. Plot has plenty of holes, blunders in the script and all of above unbelievabley stupid turns the movie takes with unneccessary comedy.
Azfar Jafri is a good director but he should worked alot more on the script then the wardrobe of Hareem Farooq.
On the other hand; th good factors were Ali Rehman's acting and alittle chemistry between him and Hareem. I like the way he portrayed a hard working engineer with his passion for buildings. Songs were average as were the remaining cast.
In the end its a one time watch with a heavy heart.

A Comedy of Revelation

Successful young architect Ali Rehman Khan learns he has advanced lung cancer. Facing death, he tries to apologize to ex-girlfriend Hareem Farooq. He discovers her in the back seat of his car, insisting that he help her get away from her cousin who wants her to marry him, a psychopathic young man with a terrifyingly full and geometrically trimmed beard, although it's never clear whether he wants to marry her for sexual purposes or to get her property. Probably both.
Although we start out feeling bad for Khan, that gradually begins to fade. Likewise, when we first meet Miss Farooq, she seems like a maddeningly self-centered and flighty creature, but this is a story of revelation, aided by some flashback sequences and a couple of comic sidekicks. I found the sidekicks more annoying than funny, but we'll write that off to the fact I'm not Pakistani. The leads are attractive, the story is good, and Miss Farooq seems to have an outfit to match the set design of every scene. It's nothing particularly novel, but well done.

This year I can surely say that Chhalawa and Heer Maan Ja were the worst movies to release in cinemas. Pakistani filmmakers should start making good content atleast. Cinemas all over the country are empty due to the bollywood ban and yet our filmmakers are making movies like these.No story
No chemistry between the lead actors
The movie was extremely slow.
The movie was soooo boring that most of the audience left before interval.
The costumes were horrible. Who wear gotay walay kapray when they go to amusements parks. And i highly doubt that this movie's budget was little under 10 crores. dont fool the audience please. i highly regret watching this movie and i wish i could get a refund. I wonder who actually gave this movie 10/10 :O

I am quite amazed to see these "fake" reviews of the movie all over the internet. Good job done by the marketing team. And I was quite surprised to see their marketing campaign as they are bashing other films just to promote their movie which is very damaging for the Pakistani film industry as a whole.
Acting by Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan was just okay. The songs were fine. They could have atleast given some proper clothes to Zara Sheikh for dancing!! The story had a lot of loopholes and the guest appearances felt absolutely useless. The movie looked more like a television movie.
Heres my money and time which i will never get back.
1/10.

I have watched all the three movies released on Eid and this is by far the best one. A complete entertainer...delivers full value for money...same like Punajb ni jao gi...very good comedy level...great acting!!!! 10/10 for a pakistani movie

The movie is actually a fun entertainer. You will be surprised with the great performance of the Villain, his subtle expressions and body language is on point during the whole film. There is no question or doubt of Heer Maan Ja being the best Eid film this year.

First of all starting from acting Ali rehman was great this is his best one so far. Hareem, beautiful amazing acted really really well. Faizan Shaikh was just too good, in ready steady go as pyaare, seeing him in this movie as a villain and man he was awesome, proved his versatility. The character "Jerry" best one. UK returned Ramzi funny. Direction wise this movie is very good, background score was so on point. comedy was very nice, subtle. I was actually laughing after such a long time from a pakistani movie. Car chase scenes were amazing. Design of this film is pretty decent This film is really a complete package.
In the end a very good entertaining film. Value of money.

A great come back after Parchi. Faizan Shiekh, Hareem, Ali and all other actors really made it very well. A nice and great movie with great comedy especially that chubby Boy made me to give two extra stars because of his role and acting. I really enjoyed it. Glad to see my Islamabad in the cinema like that. Really it was a nice movie. Great effort team Heer Maan Ja

Not a single dull moment in this film, 2.5 hrs will go in a jiffy because of the fun and comedy added by Jerry & Ramzy (played by two new actors in Heer Maan Ja) . apart from their performance, the leads have shown a different kind of chemistry for one thing, they only get along near the end of the film but during the entire course of the film you will love their banter and fuss along with the whole journey these two share. I was amused and impressed with the "quality" of the film.

The action scenes in the film were too good! Similar to romcoms films of Hollywood nothing like the unbelievable crap that Indians pull off! Impressive performance of the villain, the guy who plays Wajdaan was too good. Other than that, I think after watching this film, Pakistani cinema is going in the right direction.
