- At a party, a teen boy, while under the influence of drugs, falls into a swimming pool. Other teens rush to pull him out of the water and attempt CPR, but the boy ends up drowning.
- At the beginning of the film, two teen girls play a "swatting" prank on a boy who lives across the street from one of the girls. The entire police force arrive and surround the house, guns drawn, and order the boy and his parents to come out with their hands up. The girls watch as they are taken into custody. It is later revealed that the family was so traumatized by the incident that they moved away.

- Near the end of the film, Lance meets with Tanner, a drug dealer. After some persuasion, Tanner admits to selling GHB to Lexi before a party, and didn't ask her what she intended to do with it. Lance tells him that she gave it to Jake, who was Tanner's friend. Tanner returns the money that Lance had paid him for information and, visibly shaken, says that he knew he couldn't trust Lexi, but also insists that Jake's death wasn't his fault.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Two teen girls lure a third girl to a lake. After some arguing and fighting, they knock her out, put her in the driver's seat of her car, and push the car into the lake, with the intent of having her drown. The girl survives.
- At the climax of the film, the main antagonist, Lexi, breaks into Sierra's house, armed with a gun with the intent of killing her. Lexi shoots Sierra's father in the arm (he survives), then goes upstairs and enters Sierra's bedroom, where Sierra and her mother are hiding in the closet. Sierra pushes Lexi out the bedroom window, and Lexi lands face-down on the lawn. At first it appears that she's dead, but it's later revealed that she survived.
- Lexi attempts to kill Kaitlyn by pushing her down a flight of concrete steps. Kaitlyn resists and the fight is broken up by some members of the school football team.
