It's all in our power, is it now or never?
junivos4 May 2019
Sir David Attenborough has always been amazing with his documentaries related to nature. His quest to bring us to light that this planet is vulnerable to our actions is heart touching. We have to reduce our carbon emissions, green house gases and deforestation to a minimum. It's the only way we can hope for a better future. The question is; are we going to take action now. The power is in our hands. We maybe the destroyer or the savior of this beautiful planet we call our home.

Essential to life!
johnthomas-8534029 August 2019
I've seen a lot of productions about climate change. This, truly, made my blood run cold. If Sir David is part of it, you know it is excellent. If you give a damn about anyone or anything, you must watch this....

Terrifying
JerlskovFlunkhede23 May 2019
A brilliant documentary, brilliant.

We need to act NOW! No more waiting for new technologies or for politicians to agree who's going to do how much - and then failing to meet their own goals.

ACT. NOW.

hello choir
SnoopyStyle23 April 2020
David Attenborough is the presenter. It's rehashing some of the many issues which first grabbed the headlines in An Inconvenient Truth (2006) so many years ago. Things have simply gotten worst. This one is not going to grab any headlines. It's a lot of talking heads. It's trying to incorporate some real world experiences like escaping from a forest fire and Attenborough's vast connections to the natural world. It's trying to connect the theory with the situation happening today. For me, the question is if this is going to convert anybody. The answer is likely no. This is preaching to the choir. This is not going to wake anybody who is not already woke. It ends with Greta Thunberg and that maybe inspirational for the next generation. On the other hand, she is the quintessential leader of the choir.

Why do the BBC and Attenborough push Fear
geoffsopinion13 January 2021
Because fear works! The BBC and Attenborough undo their reputations with this doco. They rely on a cast of support that have already been exposed for fudging the truth - Michael mann of Hockey Stick fame, Exeter University of Climategate fame and James Hansen whose projections for climate as announced in his notable 1988 address was wildly exaggerated. Eight minutes into the doco there is reference to bats falling out of the sky in Cairns, Australia because of 'unprecedented heat'! The temperature that day in 2018 was 42 degrees. Yes, hot for Cairns even in the tropics ,ut not unprecedented and certainly not as hot as many days bacck in time. If bats fell out of the sky in 2018, then they did also several times before - the record for Cairns was 43.2 degrees in 1923 - well before climate change was a concern and before even David Attenborough was here. Nobody doubts climate change is a fact. The disturbing question is why these people have to continually resort to fear and untruths to push their message. .

Well acted, well written, total bunk
rjcsmc26 September 2019
The hysteria is real!!! However, the "facts" aren't.

One solar flare from the sun can affect our climate temperatures for a century, and mankind can do zip about it.

Is climate change real? Yes, absolutely. Climate changes little by little daily, warmer to colder and back again, depending on seasons, and almost exclusively based on solar interaction.

Is climate change the fault of humans? No, absolutely not. There is zero actual evidence to support that humanity is the cause, because there have only been accurate temperature recordings for less than 2 centuries. For all we know (or don't know), that temperatures could regularly and normally fluctuate across the solar system multiple times of the course of a single millennia. There just isn't enough long term data to know for certain. Anyone who claims otherwise is a poser, not a true climatologist.

The real science doesn't match the hype. This is fearmongering at its worst, and we are causing unnecessary despair to an entire generation for no reason other than political gain.

Do you know why there's no lid on your head? So you don't take your brain out to play with.

Fact: 15,000 years ago, all of North America was covered by ice. Glaciers, big ones.

What melted them? Dinosaur gas? AOC's constant babbling? Why isn't California still under a sheet of ice? This was thousands of years before humans were even human. There have been thousands of ice ages and ice melts in our planets history. Why is this melt so much more important? How else are you going to get the snowflake generation out to vote if you don't lie to them? Can't tell them that the #1 cause of greenhouse gas are volcanoes can you? How do you vote for or against a volcano? A few years back they measured what was coming out of the relatively small volcano in Hawaii, turns out it's more greenhouse gasses in an hour than humans put out in a year. That's 24x7x52 folks, no vacation for the volcano, Not impressed yet? There are over 2,500 active volcanoes right now and who knows when 1 of the major chains will go off. So that's 24x7x52x2500 = 21,840,000 to 1 in terms of volume. If all humans ceased to exist tomorrow there would be 2.8%-5.2% less greenhouse gasses produced. Do you want to know what the #2 cause of greenhouse gas is? Rotting vegetation! Yeah, lets burn those rain forests down so they stop polluting! Solar flares are a far bigger danger than even nuclear plants as a flare at the wrong time ends us, but hey back to votes right? Lets take those trillions of taxpayer dollars we spent on brainwashing tech and turn it on those least able to deal with it. Our uneducated youth. PS your electric car causes more pollution over it's lifetime than a luxury vehicle driven a similar amount of miles. That battery is toxic.

Pure garbage
The-Sovereign11 April 2020
This film is nothing but ridiculous hysteria, based on debunked data that's being promoted by an unscrupulous "research" firm that has been exposed as charlatans time and again. The same firm that uses (or rather, abuses) Greta Thunberg as a mouthpiece for their nonsensical doomsaying.

Save yourself some time and watch something worthwhile instead.

kwenchow24 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This film start with a bunch of people talking about climate change! As turnout, this film is about what causing climate change(fossil fuel), and what we need to do to prevent it(use renewable energy)! Entire film a bit informative, but quite bored! Barely intense scene is, a son talking about he escape from a burning forest with his father! At the end, the presenter of the film suggesting we change now, before the climate change getting worse! That's it! A not recommended film!

The usual lies and misinformation
buckfisher26 March 2022
Pretty much all of the information is wrong. Extreme wild fires, major storms, droughts, heat waves, have all dropped 90% in the last.century. All this is recorded in original, unchanged form, in newspapers from the times in question. They are trying to destroy the dependable power, heat and fuel sources we are using, but they don't have a reliable replacement ready. CO2 is not a pollutant, it is the source of life. Paleo-climate research shows a huge rise in new life forms, the planet is getting greener, the ocean is rising at the same rate, if not slower, than it has for centuries. They use sinking land to falsely cry rising oceans. The warming has pretty much stopped, for now. We should be preparing for the next glacial period, which return like clockwork and bury the northern hemisphere and the areas closer to the poles, under miles of ice for up to 100,000yrs. Hydro electric dams, flimsy wind generators, and other (so called) green power sources will not work during these times. For the last 3 million years, we have been in a cycle of long glaciation followed by short warm inter-glacial periods. We have been in an ice age for about 20 million years. During that time, their has been at least one polar ice cap on the planet. There is no indication the 3,000,000yr cycle, (so far), of long cold periods and short warm periods, is going to end any time soon. This is a lie to scare people into giving up their freedom to the elite, rulers of our stolen planet. They took their control of everything by force, and don't want to give it back. If they lower CO2, they will return to the CO2 drought we are starting to come out of.

Just a superficial overview
dusn-djuric1 April 2022
There are few really useful facts mentioned in this documentary, which are however only superficially mentioned. Above all, the solution for the problems has in my view not been addressed at all.

The main cause for the climate change underlying the CO2 emissions, deforestation, oceans depletion, methane release, etc. Has not been stated, which is in my opinion overpopulation. This is of course a sensitive fact for people to talk about, but nevertheless the direct cause of the worsening ecological state. What difference do the measures to reduce the climate change effect, if the overall population keeps rising and rising, and therefore the demand for all those products that contribute to CC in the first place? There was not even a mention of population increase, which has been downright skyrocketing in recent decades. With (far) less people on our planet, the carbon and methane emissions and the overall exploitation of planet and nature would sink automatically. Moreover, there would also be benefits regarding reduced danger of plagues and conflicts in crowded areas and over food and water supplies, which could be addresses by reduction in world population.

Climate Change: The Facts is overall a poor presentation, offering no real solutions (reminds me of a question being posed to the presenter of this film in the British Parliament about a concrete plan to address the issue, to which alas no precise answer was given), only cursory addressing the source of already visible consequences of climate destruction.

Speaking about the problem without pointing at its solution will hardly bring any results. Unless a thorough long-term worldwide plan is implemented to drastically reduce the planet's population, all other measures will prove ineffective and finally insignificant.
