To Mars and back in 40 minutes!

TLDR: A fun and realistic preview of life in an extraterrestrial settlement. Especially relevant in these pandemic times.
Spacedrop is original, insightful, and entertaining. It's very effective in providing a glimpse of what it would be like to live on Mars or the Moon: the extremely harsh environment, the very different living conditions, and the essential mindset and skills necessary for survival.
Going on the journey with the "astronauts", I learned:
I thought the cinematography was very effective - panoramic and breathtaking in places, and appropriately claustrophobic in others. It was cool learning about lava tubes and exploring a couple of them.
In today's highly polarized political climate, Spacedrop's most important message might be about how much we can achieve when we choose to focus on common goals, rather than unimportant differences.

Going on the journey with the "astronauts", I learned:
- how much one's values can change depending on circumstances - money becomes irrelevant and water is the most valuable commodity.
- the importance of teamwork - the needs of the team take precedence over individual considerations.
- how much we take for granted on Earth - some of the things the participants missed most were the smells of nature, a cool breeze, and everyday food like fruits, vegetables and burgers.
