Influences???
wescotten24 July 2010
Do you think this could have been influenced by the old "Boy in the Corner" and "The Man Behind the Door" legends? I see some distinct similarities and if the filmmakers ever spent time in the Memphis area, they might have come across the similar story/concept. It could be that this story is simply a generalized psychological phenomenon that is born from our anxieties and fears of the dark. Kind of like when you think you see something move out of the corner of your eye and you look and realize there's nothing there. It still rattles you. I'd be very curious to sit down with the filmmakers and talk to them about this simple yet haunting idea.

Rather good, but it needed a bit more development and less credits.

Warning: Spoilers
This film is simple and short, very short. In fact, of its running time of four minutes 59 seconds over a minute is the closing credits. Still, it was rather interesting and left me wanting to see more which is actually rather a good thing when it comes to horror shorts. The film is about a young lady named Paula who is in a mental institution. She claims that there are monsters everywhere. She is confronted by a doctor at this place and told that the monsters are not real, if so why would she be the only one to see them. Well she says she can prove that they exist by passing her ability on to the good doctor, only there is a catch. If he reacts in anyway said monster is going to kill him. Sure you can just about see where this one is going, but it was still rather fun to watch. While there could have been more development to this one to further enhance it something has to be said about a short that runs its course and does not feel overly long.
