Fletcher's birthday
ShadeGrenade7 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It is Mr Fletcher's birthday, and ( ever the crawler ) Harry has gone to the trouble to buy a card. He changes his mind when she sees his boss lusting after a new member of staff - 'Heather' ( Judith Paris ). Fletcher is besotted, and begins seriously contemplating quitting the company. Carol, his comely secretary, is none too thrilled by this development...

The late Alan Hackney is best remembered for his work on classic Boulting Brothers comedies such as 'I'm All Right, Jack' and 'Private's Progress'. He also wrote a big screen version of Richard Greene's 'Adventures Of Robin Hood' television series. Not forgetting a delightful Michael Winner movie called 'You Must Be Joking!'. Sadly, this episode cannot in all honesty be regarded as anything other than average. He wrote two more episodes.

Derek Smith returns as 'Bloomfield' who made his debut in the previous episode. Judith Paris played 'Eldrad' in the Dr. Who story 'The Hand Of Fear'. On the plus side, Karin MacCarthy gets to do more than just look sexy. No-one would have blamed her if she had hit Fletcher over the head with her typewriter.

Funniest moment - Bloomfield enters Fletcher's office, sees Rex holding a wet-suit and thinks something kinky is going on.
