It is finally the wedding day and both Ada's and Walter's extended family arrive for the big day.

The only important missing is Walter's son Albert. Unavoidably detained by his wife who does not get on well with Walter it seems.

Leslie has to step in has the best man for Walter. However the Walter has left the banns at home and this would cause a delay to the church ceremony.

I do like the warm relationship between Ruth and Ada as they chat between the night before the wedding. Ada really does make Ruth laugh.

Leslie gets on well with Walter as they have a bachelor night and Leslie has too much to drink.

The second half gets bogged down with the wedding service. It seems to be the entire wedding ceremony in real time. Did the writers forget this was a comedy? It reminded me of a Christmas episode of Crossroads that consisted of the entire cast in church singing carols.

Anna Wing pops up with a posh accent playing Ada's sister. Colin Welland turn's belatedly as a surprise wedding guest.
