Billy has his head turned by Evangelistic preacher Brother Benjamin Bailey, and his beautiful assistant, Sister Joanna, Ivy fears the pair will coax Billy away for a life as a Preacher, sadly the duo aren't quite what they make out.
It's a solid episode, perhaps not the funniest one I've seen so far, but it is fairly significant I guess, I can't help but wonder if this episode was the inspiration for Thora Hird's wonderful series, Hallelujah, even Rosamund Greenwood appears here. It really does feel like the same brand of humour.
There are a couple of good moments, Ivy scouring the woman in the church is funny, whilst Billy's discovery is somewhat bittersweet, he really is a bit wet behind the ears.
Ronald Lacey is pretty good, he'd go on to have a career playing all manner of eccentric characters.
7/10.
