Greed always causes problems.

The Larkins sit down for a family committee meeting to discuss their recent lack of form, to change things up, they each do a line, everyone lands in a frenzy when they think they've scooped the top prize.

Pretty funny and wonderfully zany, The Larkins continue to provide the chuckles. Favourite scene had to be that moment where Ada tried to provide everyone with a cup of tea.

Before the lottery, there was the football pools, I'll never forget my parents on a Saturday evening checking the score draws, to see if they'd landed a prize, sadly never the big one.

I loved the greed theme that ran through this one, almost everyone has spent the money before they've even received the cheque, only Joyce keeps both feet on the ground.

The feud over ownership of course takes a more dramatic turn, the Courtroom scenes were bonkers, but were funny.

7/10.

Oh yes. The days before the National Lottery, we used to do the pools. Well my dad did, as well as Spot the Ball.

The Larkins have a family conference to decide just what the weekend's results will be. Only for Ada Larkin to try to get her way by withholding evening supper.

The compromise is that each member of the family will fill their own lines on the pools coupon. It is Alf's coupon but they agree to share any winnings.

Only for the Larkins to have a winning line. The family might had just won over £300,000. A Queen's ransom back in 1959.

Unfortunately it was a record week for score draws that weekend. The jackpot was shared by too many people. So the jackpot was just a few quid.

Still Alf refuses to share the winnings and the case goes to court.

It does all end up being silly. The winnings were not large enough to spend money on lawyers. I would have thought Eddie would had noticed all the score draws that Saturday.
