Hetty gets some luck.

Hetty is enjoying a coffee with The Larkins, when a man in a bowler hat wants to speak to her, she reluctantly hears his words, words of a sizeable inheritance, to the sun of £6500, Alf and Ada are worried that windfall will be lost to Osbert.

Quite an enjoyable episode, one that allowed everyone to dress up smartly, and have some fun playing the rags to riches characters.

It was fun to see the gang in an 'unknown' situation, it worked well, and showed they were keen to change things up in this final run.

Nice, finally to see a Hetty storyline, too often she's sidelined as the bit part player, Barbara Mitchell really was quite delightful here, and she looked rather nice all glammed up.

One thing though, what has happened to Betty's family, her husband and daughter have both vanished without trace, at least the missing Larkins had some sort of an explanation.

Favourite scene, Hetty living it up at the club.

7/10.

Some character development for Hetty Prout. It seems she is no longer with her husband. It is not stated what happened to him.

She also has the hots for Osbert Rigby-Soames. He only sees the need for her went he wants something like having his socks darned. Apart from that Osbert has no interest in Hetty.

This all changes when Hetty inherits a sizeable sum of money in an inheritance from a rich uncle.

Now money has gone to Hetty's head. Courtesy of some Bloody Marys. Osbert now hopes to woo her with some investment ideas such as putting money in an exclusive nightclub.

Ada and Alf try to put a stop to this. Only to make the clientele of the nightclub irate with their riff raff behaviour.

I would like to think that with all the skivvying she did in the cafe. That Hetty would had been more careful of her money. She would also see through Osbert for the lazy chancer he is.
