Alf wins a prize.

Ada isn't happy with Alf and Jeff, who decided to take Eddie along to the recent meeting of The FLUIDS. Eddie hits the shandy hard, getting plastered in the process, there is some good news though, Alf wins a prize.

Perhaps the most amusing episode of series three so far, I liked the situation and the laughs. Again it does tend to rely on the innocence and sheer naivety of poor Eddie.

It's good to see The FLUIDS back, it's been quite a while since we last saw them, now plus one. They had a pretty good idea with them, it's a shame we didn't see them more often.

There are a few amusing moments, Ada getting her own back is fun, the scene at The Police Station is perhaps the highlight.

Colin Douglas was rather good as the stern faced Sergeant.

A Fiddle in Froth

Alf and Jeff take Eddie to a boozy evening with his drinking group the F. L. U. I. D. S.

Ada is furious that Alf is leading his son astray as Eddie comes home drunk.

While Alf is upset that Eddie lets slip that Alf won 12 crates of beer as a top prize in the raffle.

Ada is having none of that. She wants Alf to sell the beer and giver her the money instead. Wily Alf has the bright idea to stage a robbery. The car with all the beer crates gets stolen.

Only Eddie parks the car in a safe place. The local police station and then acts suspicious. Then Alf and Jeff get taken in by the police but are unable to give a suitable explanation.

Ada takes the girl for a slap up meal with he proceeds of the sale of the beer. She has enough money left to bail them out from the police station.

The F. L. U. I. D. S. gets a revisit. Alf always seems to get undone by the gormless Eddie. While Jeff is some writer as he cannot give a simple explanation. Another mildly amusing episode.
