• Continuity: In the beginning of the movie, when the students are leaving the school and boarding onto buses, you can clearly see a girl with a pink skirt and gray shirt walking off the main platform and down the steps to the bus area. In the next scene where Elliot and Julian are talking on the platform outside the school, you can see that same girl walking down the steps yet again.
  
  
• Errors in geography: The characters board a train for Harrisburg, which is in the south central part of the state. The train takes them only to Filbert and stops. However, Filbert is much further west than Harrisburg (south of Pittsburgh).
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Mrs. Jones' house has no electricity - and it never did, since it is said there is no power line going to it. Yet in the final shot of the house we clearly see a television antenna on the roof.
