When Jill wakes up during the early morning the clock reads 5:59 but the PM light is on. At this point it is still dark outside and the PM light should not be on.
When the "Family Bible" is opened, they find that several sections have been marked by the former owner due to their importance to her. The first page has a sentence marked in red. It appears that a red pencil was used to highlight the biblical phrase so she could find it more easily in the future. If we assume that red pencils were in existence in the 1800s, then this is plausible. But, when they refer to the next two sections that the Bible's owner highlighted, we see that the sections are no longer highlighted in red pencil. Instead, the prop manager has allowed certain sections of the bible to be typed in red, rather than the usual black ink. It is obvious that the pages were typed on a computer, with the pertinent phrases allowed to stand out with red ink. It is impossible for an original family bible that was over 100 years old to have only the phrases of interest to the owner typed in red ink.
Color printing itself was in use even before the 1800s. In 1899, the first "red-letter" edition of the New Testament was published to emphasize words spoken by Jesus and statements of prophecy. Red-letter editions of the entire Bible followed two years later and grew in popularity throughout the 20th century. This version is in great demand and widely distributed to this day.
