- General Landry accompanies SG-1 on a mission to collect the knowledge of the Asgard. When the Ori show up, however, Sam is forced to evacuate the crew. Landry and SG-1 stay aboard, but are stuck helpless in a time dilation field for decades.—MitchellSG-1
- The SGC is surprised by a visit from Thor, who tells them that the time of the Asgard has come to an end and he is going to transfer all of their knowledge and technology to humans. The information has barely been received when the Odyssey is attacked by the Ori. They are out-gunned and the only way to keep from being destroyed is to put the ship in a time dilation bubble where time inside the ship seemingly passes normally, but where time outside the bubble might be only a few seconds. Sam hopes the time will allow her to explore the new technologies they've received and find a way out of their dilemma. Years pass resulting in new relationships being formed and with an ever-rising sense of helplessness.—garykmcd
- While traveling in the Odyssey, the SG-1 and Gen. Landry are visited by Thor. He explains that the Asgard is a dying race and will transfer their technological knowledge to the earthlings. He fully equips the Odyssey and leaves instructions to learn how operate. Out of the blue, an Ori spacecraft attacks the Odyssey and Sam transports the crew to a nearby planet and stays with Landry and the SG-1. When an Ori ray of energy will destroy the Odyssey, Sam creates a time dilation bubble around the ship. As an immediate consequence, the time inside Odyssey passes normally while outside the bubble, time basically stops. Now Sam will have time to study the new technology and learn a way out to save their lives. Will she succeed?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- The Asgard summon SG-1 to tell them they are a dying race because all experiments to halt their genetic degeneration have failed, so the Asgard have decided to give "everything [they] have and know" to the Tau'ri: Thor names the people of Earth are the fifth race, after the Ancients, Nox, Furlings and Asgard. When the Ori show up, the Asgard destroy Orilla, and themselves with it, so that their technology will not fall into the hands of the Ori. The new weapons the Asgard equipped the Odyssey with enable destroying an Ori mothership with ease, but there are two more who chase them everywhere. Desperate to stop the relentless pursuit, SG-1 and General Landry beam the crew off the ship onto an uninhabited planet and lock the ship in a time-dilation field, unable to separate the new upgrades from the hyper-drive. They must spend around fifty to sixty years trapped on the ship, moments away from death if they ever stop the field. During that time, Landry dies and Daniel and Vala become lovers. As an old woman, Carter figures out how to reverse time so this never happens, but unless someone stays old, everything will happen the same way. It also requires allowing the ship to be destroyed, hopefully temporarily, to allow an energy blast to power the effect. Due to his greater lifespan, Teal'c volunteers and enables Carter to separate the hyper-drive quickly, so the Odyssey escapes.—KGF Vissers
