This film was commissioned as part of a new short film competition for BC filmmakers. Whistler Stories is a legacy program for the Whistler area in advance of the 2010 Whistler Olympic and Paralympic Games. Slated to run annually until 2010, a jury will select four projects per year to receive a commission of $5,000 to create a short film (approximately five minutes in length) which must be based on stories from Whistler and surrounding areas.
Hegan operated the camera for the high-speed hockey sequence and the roller blading shots. Hegan subsequently crashed into his actors twice but managed to save the camera and get the shots.
Lead actor Rikki Gagne performed all of her own stunts except for the aerial ski jump. This was performed by Christopher "Fish" Boulton, who also plays the construction worker who yells "Pull!". In the cut, Boulton is actually yelling at himself.
