Boyden and Norika put all of their efforts into nailing a violent pump, one who has a strong network setup, where the girls are ruled by fear.
A great episode, this was gritty, tough and boasts a plot worthy of a much bigger, heavier series. I loved how it progressed, especially the twist at the end, that was unexpected. Very nicely written.
This is the Matthew Boyden I remember, tough, funny, and willing to do whatever it takes to put a criminal inside, a great episode for him, and for Norika, it's nice to see her getting more involvement again after a quiet patch.
Two fantastic guest performances, first of all from Ian Reddington, he really does the part of a villain incredibly well, and secondly from Sara Powell, who was terrific as Nina, she has just featured as Mary Seacole on Dr Who, what a talented actress she is, seems to have been around for ages.
This was great, 9/10.
