• Factual errors: In the film, the year is 2006 and it is the Festival of Sacrifices (Kurban Bayrami), a religious holiday. Everybody is in summer clothes and many of them are sweating. The Festival of Sacrifices in 2006 in Turkey was in winter, at the end of December.
  
  
• Factual errors: In the movie, police officials are shown in the Pasakapisi Prison. Indeed, in Turkey the prisons are guarded and controlled not by the police but by the "prison guards" and the gendarme.
  
  
• Continuity: When the Lotte is driving through Bremen, she passes a bus in which Jeter (Jessy) and Baki were sitting after visiting Baki's father in the hospital. The first time we see them sitting in the bus, they are sitting together in the same seat. When Lotte passes the bus, they are sitting opposite of each other.
