- [after being warned a speeding vehicle is approaching]
- Arsène Lupin III: Oh, it's Pops!
- Daisuke Jigen: That's weird. I thought he was a speedaphobic.
- Arsène Lupin III: You see, humans have emotions. Something that computers, and sometimes even professors, have been known to fail to take into account.
- Arsène Lupin III: [to Jigen and Goemon] Look at you, bested by an old man. You should be ashamed. What have you got to say for yourselves, huh?
- Daisuke Jigen, Goemon Ishikawa XIII: [gagged, muffling] Lupin, behind you! He's right behind you!
- [Zenigata appears behind Lupin, having him at gunpoint]
- Arsène Lupin III: Whoa! Pops! Well, isn't this embarrassing?
- Inspector Kouichi Zenigata: Not really. See? I'm serious now! Heh heh heh!
- [His smile fades and his expression becomes rueful. He pulls his hat brim down, and he and Lupin share a look]
- Goemon Ishikawa XIII: [muffled] Hey, guys, what about us?
- Daisuke Jigen: [muffled] Can someone take this tape off?
- [to Lupin's astonishment, Zenigata suddenly bursts into tears]
- [Fujiko, Jigen, and Goemon leave after backing out on the assignment]
- Inspector Kouichi Zenigata: Sad thing, you know, but nowadays without money, there's no love, Lupin.
- Fujiko Mine: Hey, guys. Whoa! That's amazing. It looks exactly like the real Pops, but what's it for? It's not Halloween.
- Inspector Kouichi Zenigata: Hey! Betcha think that's pretty funny, Fujiko!
- Fujiko Mine: Whoa, it's amazing! I mean, he even gets angry exactly like him, too.
- Arsène Lupin III: I'd hope so, I mean, seeing as it is actually Pops himself.
- Fujiko Mine: Look, you can't fool me, Lupin. Of all the things I'm sure of in life, I'm sure that Pops is our enemy.
- Daisuke Jigen: Well, you know what they say: Yesterday's enemy is today's friend.
- [Zenigata is ensnared in his own handcuffs after a failed attempt to capture Lupin and his group]
- Inspector Kouichi Zenigata: I don't get it. Yesterday, I caught you guys so easily. What's going on here?
- Arsène Lupin III: You know it's obvious you're not the same. You're different than you were yesterday, pal.
- Inspector Kouichi Zenigata: What the hell you mean by that?
- Arsène Lupin III: Yesterday, you were willing to become a thief just to return a single penny, so you gotta be just as crazy now if you wanna catch us.
- Inspector Kouichi Zenigata: I know, Lupin. I've realized I've put you in a terrible position, but I want to assure you of something. I'll be with you in this 'til the end. I'm certainly going to be fired for this, and you'll retire in shame. There's a kind of symmetry in it, I mean. When you think about it, it's fate.
- Arsène Lupin III: P-Pops! Oops! Shame on me, too.
- Inspector Kouichi Zenigata: Once I get serious, this is a piece of cake.
- [He laughs triumphantly. His expression becomes rueful. He pulls the brim of his hat down, and he and Lupin share a look. Suddenly, Zenigata bursts into tears. Lupin looks at him, alarmed]
