A friend of David's has invented his own television camera, so to speak. This was the late 1950s, a long way from where we are now in visual equipment. Setting up a closed-circuit TV show was, indeed, amazing 50 years ago.
First the boys, then two dads, have fun tinkering with it, fooling other people who turn on the Nelson TV set upstairs, not knowing the picture is really coming from the guys downstairs in the basement.
An old bachelor friend convinces Ozzie and neighbor "Joe Randolph" (Lyle Talbot) to pretend they are out dancing with a pair of blondes, hoping Harriet and Clara (Joe's wife, played by Mary Jane Croft) will spend more time at home. Those two have been gone every night this week at her women's club, forcing Ozzie and Joe to eat the drugstore each night.
The real fun starts when the guys improvise being at a nightclub with help from the kids. However, without giving any more away, Harriet has the last laugh later.
This was another good show in the DVD set of "The Best Of The Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet."
