  Michael Scofield : Well, he's, ah... he's the only fugitive to ever successfully elude your ex husband.

  Pam Mahone : Alex was consumed with finding him. I mean, after what Shales did to all of his victims, who could blame him. It was all he worked on, all he did, for a year. But I don't think that it was the stress of chasing Shales that caused Alex to start behaving erratically.

  Michael Scofield : Why is that?
