A nice middle class family, The Hursts are being plagued by a rough, younger woman, Shirley, who claims to be her daughter, a child that was given up for adoption at a very early age.
It's a very sad story, I think people nowadays forget that when this story was set, there was still a prejudice about young girls having babies, attitudes were very different.
Naturally they give the case to June and Norika, the show has changed, but perhaps not changed so much at this stage.
It's a very emotional, sad story, it's a total change up from the recent run of dramatic, action driven episodes, this one is a much slower pace, a much more character driven story.
I'm a huge fan of the beautiful, wonderful Diane Keen, I wonder if this was around the time that she'd have been appearing in The popular Wexford series.
7/10.
