Woods and Morgan arrest two shoplifters, a young lad, and a young girl. Reg is busy giving a few older members of the community some training on lollipop duties.
You think you're in for the usual humdrum story of thieves, fiery clashes with briefs etc, but this episode is so much more, it has a real depth, and a very sad underlying story. You learn there are some really awful parents out in the world.
The laughs, as they often do, come from Reg, he must have loved filming those scenes, they are very amusing.
I love Daniela Denby-Ashe, she's really good here as Joanne Jameson, she's excellent even at a young age, she was given a tough, challenging role here, and she delivered. A word on Virginia Fool also, I thought she was excellent here also as Janice.
I read the synopsis beforehand, and wondered how on Earth Jo Morgan's stepfather could have been involved in the case, language is a funny thing.
A sad, but very good watch, 8/10.
