CID are investigating the murder of a prostitute, having built up a rapport with the family, Viv is unhappy to be taken off it, and tasked with dealing with a nuisance phone caller.
Absolutely brilliant, this was an excellent episode, I had a feeling this would have been a gritty story, not sure I was expecting one such as this, when I think back, perhaps romantically to the early years of the show, this is the kind of quality I think of.
Huge credit to Nula Conwell, a cracking actress, one I wish I'd seen a bit more off after she decided to leave The Bill. She played the character in such a way, that Viv could lead a story as good as any other character. The only female in CID at the time, she set the ground running.
The best episode for some time, 9/10.
