The 69th annual Emmy Awards pulled in 11.38 million total viewers last night, according to Nielsen time zone adjusted fast affiliate ratings. That’s even with last year’s all-time low. Among adults 18-49, generally the advertiser-coveted demographic, these Emmys had a 2.5 rating. The show got a 2.8 in 2016, meaning the year over year decline was 10.7 percent. Earlier today, it looked like the 2017 Emmy Awards were on pace to break the record that nobody wants — the one for fewest overall eyeballs. CBS’ awards show was down 2.4 percent in metered market ratings from the prior year, but it adjusted...

If Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to become a U.S. Senator, he’d better hope those casting their ballots in the election weren’t also recently polled by the Q Scores Company. Perhaps the Muscle Beach legend shouldn’t have taken over the “Celebrity Apprentice” gig from Donald Trump. Fast National ratings for Thursday, July 2, 2015. "Big Brother" dominated the 9 p.m. hour on Thursday night and helped carry CBS to easy victories in all measures on a sluggish pre-holiday evening. Fast National ratings for Thursday, June 18, 2015. ABC got a decent premiere for "The Astronaut Wives Club" and a weaker two-hour premiere for "Mistresses," but original dramas and even Fox sports coverage were no match for CBS' three hours of repeats, which led Thursday in most measures. Other Thursday notables included another small dip for NBC's "Aquarius" and flatness for "Hannibal" and "Beauty and the Beast." Fox's Us Open golf coverage wasn't a factor. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, CBS had a 1.1 rating for Thursday night, tops in the key demographic. ABC's 0.9, NBC's 0.8 and Fox's 0.7 followed in the key demo, while The CW averaged a 0.2 key demo rating for the night. Overall, CBS averaged an estimated 5.28 million viewers and a 3.4 rating/6 share for Thursday primetime. ABC was second with 4.37 million viewers and a 3.1/6 for the night, topping NBC's 2.6/5 and 3.8 million viewers. Fox averaged 2.855 million viewers and a 1.8/3, followed...

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Wednesday's ratings are pretty dull with a repeat of "Criminal Minds" still serving as the centerpiece for CBS' overall win and a new "MasterChef" leading Fox to a slim victory in the key demographic. Things just aren't as much fun without live sporting events and whatnot. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, Fox averaged a 1.2 rating for Wednesday night, tops in the key demographic, narrowly beating the 1.1 key demo rating for NBC. ABC's 0.9 key demo rating and the 0.8 key demo rating for CBS followed, with The CW averaging a 0.3 key demo rating for the night. Overall, though, CBS averaged an estimated 5.46 million viewers and a 3.7 rating/7 share to comfortably win Wednesday primetime. Fox was third with 3.84 million viewers and a 2.3/4, followed closely by ABC's 2.5/5 and 3.66 million viewers and NBC's 2.2/4 and 3.56 million viewers. The CW averaged 900,000 viewers and a 0.6/1 for the night. 8 p.

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, June 16, 2015. The Golden State Warriors capped off their NBA Championship run with a Game 6 win and ABC capped off the highest rated NBA Finals on the network with a Tuesday win in all measures. ABC is estimating that the NBA Finals series was up a whopping 31 percent over last year, keeping in mind that these Fast National ratings reflect time period data and not ratings for the game itself. "America's Got Talent" and particularly "I Can Do That" were both down from last week, but still put NBC in second place for the night, while Fox's coverage of the Women's World Cup did solid key demo ratings. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, ABC averaged a 6.2 rating for Tuesday night, easily topping the competition in the key demographic. NBC was second with a 1.9 key demo rating, followed closely by Fox's 1.7 key demo rating.

Fast National ratings for Monday, June 15, 2015. The Chicago Blackhawks cemented their semi-dynasty with another Stanley Cup win on Monday night and coverage of the Game 6 clincher helped NBC cruise to victory on Monday night. Interestingly, while NBC's hockey coverage outrated the network's strong regular Monday coverage, removing the network's reality hits from the mix helped Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" rise, while "The Bachelorette" was flat. The night's only other original notable was another week of declines, smaller than last week, for "The Whispers." Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 2.6 rating for Monday night, easily tops in the key demographic. ABC's 1.5 key demo rating and the 1.3 key demo rating for Fox followed. CBS averaged a 1.0 key demo rating for Monday primetime, followed by the 0.4 key demo rating for The CW. Overall, NBC averaged 7.59 million viewers and a 4.2 rating/7 share for Monday primetime. Fast National ratings for Sunday, June 14, 2015. The Golden State Warriors took control of the NBA Finals with a relatively comfortable Game 5 victory, as ABC remained in control of the primetime ratings race. With many viewers also basing their evenings around the "Game of Thrones" finale on HBO and whatnot, ABC's network competition barely made a ripple. Remember, as always, that this is time period data and not reflective of the ratings for the basketball game itself, especially with one of the teams hailing from the West Coast. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, ABC averaged a 5.4 rating for Sunday night, tops in the key demographic. Fox and NBC were a distant second with a 0.7 key demo rating, followed by CBS' 0.5 key demo rating for the night. Overall, ABC averaged an estimated 14.93 million viewers and an 8.6 rating/16 share for Sunday night. There was a big drop to CBS' 4.755 million...

Fast National ratings for Thursday, June 11. 2015. The fourth game of the NBA Finals was the tight series' first relative rout with the Golden State Warriors cruising past the Cleveland Cavaliers. Meanwhile, ABC's telecast of the game also cruised past the Thursday competition in all ratings measures. Even with the basketball taking up the majority of the Thursday audience, a big episode of "Wayward Pines" and the third "Aquarius" episode both posted tiny key demo up-ticks for the night, while The CW's "Beauty and the Beast" had an Ok season premiere. On the negative side, NBC's "Hannibal" slipped from last week's already low premiere. As always, remember that the NBA ratings reflect time period data and not the ratings for the basketball game itself, a particularly important distinction with one of the teams hailing from the West Coast. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, ABC averaged a 5.3 rating for Thursday night,...

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, June 10, 2015. "MasterChef" delivered Wednesday's biggest audience among young viewers as Fox won the key demo, while repeats of "Criminal Minds" and "CSI: Cyber" helped CBS triumph overall. Also winning its hour overall for CBS was "The Briefcase," but the much reviled summer reality series slipped again in total viewers (but remained flat in the key demo). Wednesday night was low on notables, so let's get straight to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, Fox averaged a 1.3 rating for Wednesday primetime, beating ABC's 1.1 rating in the key demographic. CBS was third with a 0.9 key demo rating, followed by NBC's 0.8 key demo rating, while The CW averaged a 0.3 key demo rating for the night. Overall, though, CBS averaged an estimated 5.26 million viewers and a 3.4 rating/6 share for Wednesday night. ABC was second with 4.05 million viewers and a 2.7/5, ahead of the 2.3/4 and 3.93 million viewers for Fox for the night.

Fast National ratings for Tuesday, June 9, 2015. The Cleveland Cavaliers held on for a Game 3 victory to take the lead in the NBA Finals, leading ABC to an even more decisive victory on Tuesday night in all measures. With basketball dominating the night, NBC's "America's Got Talent" and "Hell's Kitchen" were among several shows down in young viewers, but even with the basketball, "Hell's Kitchen" was up in total viewers, while "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader" and "I Can Do That" were also up slightly. The season finale for The CW's "iZombie" slipped a little bit. Remember, as always, that these basketball numbers represent time period data and not ratings for the game itself, since the game ended outside of primetime on the East Coast and started pre-primetime on the West Coast, home of the Golden State Warriors. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, ABC did a 4.9 rating for Tuesday night,...

Fast National ratings for Monday, June 8, 2015. Monday's "The Whispers" news was all about the big DVR bump for the premiere, while Tuesday's "The Whispers" news is all about the 33 percent live key demo dip for the summer drama, which allowed "American Ninja Warrior"-led NBC to rule primetime in all measures. The night also saw dips for "The Bachelorette" and "So You Think You Can Dance." Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 1.7 rating for Monday night, edging out ABC's 1.5 rating in the key demographic. Fox was third with a 1.1 key demo rating, followed by CBS' 0.9 key demo rating. The CW trailed with a 0.2 key demo rating for the night. Overall, NBC averaged an estimated 5.8 million viewers and a 3.3 rating/6 share for Tuesday night, while ABC averaged 5.64 million viewers despite a 3.9/7 for primetime. CBS was a close third with 5.11 million viewers and a 3.4/6, followed by Fox's 2.3/4 and 3.67 million viewers.

Fast National ratings for Sunday, June 7, 2015. For the first time in NBA history, the Finals started with consecutive overtime games and the showdown between the Cavaliers and Warriors produced a second consecutive primetime domination for ABC on Sunday night. ABC is estimating that this will be the highest-rated NBA Finals Game 2 ever on the network and posted 26 percent gains over last year's Game 2. These Fast National numbers, of course, reflect time period data and, as always, are extra imprecise when one of the competing teams has a fan homebase on the West Coast. Sunday night's other notable was CBS' broadcast of the 69th Tony Awards, which dipped from last year both overall and among young viewers, falling by 25 percent in the key demo. Also down on Sunday were NBC's "A.D. The Bible Continues," which hit a series low, and "American Odyssey." Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, ABC...

Fast National ratings for Thursday, June 4, 2015. The first game of a marquee NBA Finals pitting the NBA's top two teams, led by two of the sport's biggest stars, lived up to its billing on Thursday with an overtime victory for the Golden State Warriors and a primetime victory for ABC. Due to the live nature of the basketball, ABC's Fast National totals reflect only time period data and not ratings for the game, which is particularly notable in a game with one of the teams hailing from the West Coast. And with the game going into overtime, the climax was out of primetime for much of the country. Per ABC, overnight ratings for the game itself were up 24 percent over last year. With ABC drawing such big numbers, a lot of the air was taken out of the Thursday room, with NBC's "Aquarius" plummeting in Week 2 -- NBC's interest in...

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Repeats of "Criminal Minds" and "CSI: Cyber" helped CBS win Wednesday night overall, but the Stanley Cup opener between Chicago and Tampa Bay gave NBC a commanding victory in the key demographic. The hockey game was up a hair from last year's Game 1. Remember that NBC's hockey is subject to change due to the nature of live events. Results for Wednesday's originals were largely negative with small key demo drops for "MasterChef" and "Celebrity Wife Swap," plus a steep 36 percent key demo decline for "The Briefcase." Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 1.8 rating for Wednesday night, tops in the key demographic. Fox was second with a 1.3 key demo rating, followed by ABC's 1.0 key demo rating and the 0.9 key demo rating for CBS. The CW averaged a 0.3 key demo rating for the night. Fast National ratings for Tuesday, June 2, 2015. "America's Got Talent" and "I Can Do That" were both down from last week's premieres, but the three-hour reality block still had no trouble carrying NBC to a primetime sweep in the key demo and a comfortable nightly victory overall. Most of Tuesday's originals were down from last week, including "Extreme Weigh Loss" and "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader," while "Hell's Kitchen" and "iZombie" earn credit for staying flat. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, NBC averaged a 2.1 rating for Tuesday night, easily tops in the key demographic. Fox and CBS both averaged a 0.9 key demo rating for Tuesday, while ABC averaged a 0.8 key demo rating. The CW trailed with a 0.5 key demo rating for the night. Overall, NBC averaged an estimated 8.96 million viewers and a 5.4 rating/10 share for Tuesday, well ahead of the 7.58 million viewers and 5.1/9 for CBS on the night.

Fast National ratings for Monday, June 1, 2015. The series premiere of "The Whispers" held well from its "The Bachelorette" lead-in to top NBC's "The Island" and give ABC Monday wins both overall and in the key demographic. ABC needed that "Whispers" triumph to take the night because, for the second straight week, "American Ninja Warrior" was able to beat "The Bachelorette" head-to-head over the first two hours of primetime. With only a 0.1 key demo rating dip in its second half-hour, ABC has to be pleased with the premiere. The night's other premiere was Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," down 20 percent from last year's return. Let's get to the numbers... Among adults 18-49, ABC averaged a 1.8 rating for Monday night, edging out NBC's 1.7 rating in the key demographic. Fox was third with a 1.2 key demo rating, followed by CBS' 1.0 key demo rating. And The CW averaged a 0.2 key demo rating for Monday night.
