• Plot holes: In order for the Collector to have the time and freedom to set up all the traps, the family in the house would have to have already been captured - eliminating the necessity for traps.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: In the ambulance, when the collector is cutting the hero out of his restraints, the hero has shoes on when he should be barefoot.
  
  
• Continuity: After the girl and the hero electrocute the old man. The collector grabs the old mans feet to move him. The water that in previous scenes has been at least 4 inches deep is gone. The wood floor is dry.
  
  

• Continuity: When the daughter and boyfriend are making out in the kitchen. He tears her shirt off of her. When she jumps up after seeing the collector she pulls her gray sweater over her chest. In the next scene her white shirt is buttoned up again.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: The dead bolts on the kitchen door are only visible from the inside. On the outside the wood is clean.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Arkin is being picked up off the ground by the Paramedics, it is raining in the foreground and the background yet there is no rain landing on him or around him
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: The alarm panel is Napco but the control panel is a different manufacturer.
  
  
• Continuity: The Napco Alarm panel alternates LEDs on then off even though power is off in the house.
  
  
• Continuity: When Arkin lights up his first cigarette, the Camel logo clearly shows. In the next scene, he is sitting in his truck chatting with Jill with a pack of Marlboros on his dashboard.
  
  
• Continuity: In the scene where the collector is to be electrocuted with the television and fish tank, the power is supposed to be off in the house.
