Great little film
(M)Rated3 September 2006
I happened to stumble across this short film via Valve's game distribution channel "Steam". I was a little curious after seeing the title and thought it was a game, but after viewing the summary page decided to give the short film a go. The story follows three New Zealand bogons trapped in a car in the middle of a swarm of zombies. They're not the brightest bunch and hilarity ensues. The acting was great with the three trapped bogons being stereotypes but also possessing individual characters. Of course as the film was made by some guys from Weta the zombie makeup and effects were top notch. The general theme of the film is one of light comedy but seeing as the guys are in quite a predicament you could easily class this as a black comedy. if you like zombie movies then check this out. I hope this means they can make a full length feature film now.

Very short New Zealand zombie film.

Warning: Spoilers
Zombie Movie tells the story of three friends Darryn (Des Morgan), Sam (co-writer, producer & director Ben Stenbeck) & Paul (Simon Niblett) who finds themselves trapped in a car surrounded by flesh eating zombies & out of gas. Over the next few they have to try & find a way to find safety & as they run out of cigarettes & things become more desperate relations start to get strained...

This New Zealand production is a fifteen minute (including opening & closing credits) black comedy/horror & to be honest it's an inoffensive way to pass a quarter of an hour but it's hardly anything special despite it's neat central premise & because of it's short duration it doesn't leave much of an impression & simply doesn't have time to tell any significant story. Having said that it's watchable, it moves along at a decent pace & has an amusing ending. It's surprisingly well made with good, if underused, zombie make-up effects & it has good production values with decent nicely lit photography & acting. I'm not sure how anyone would get to see this film & to be frank it's not really worth spending any amount of energy or money on tracking down but if you can see it on TV for free then you could do a lot worse & it is only fifteen minutes long.

Warning: Spoilers
I found this when I was a child on Steam, watching it again as an adult honestly got some laughs out of me. I honestly don't think I've seen a zombie movie/short film take place inside a car since I've seen this.

I was in discord with a friend and he was telling me a story of a family trapped inside a car surrounded by bears and it reminded me of it for some reason.. I stumbled across a reuploaded video from 2011 and couldn't believe I found it again.

I'm no real movie critic but it was a pleasure seeing it again to kill 15mins.

I never realized he ate his mates sausage until now lol.
