• Revealing mistakes: When Denny Colt is on the table in the morgue, you can clearly see the outline of the makeup effects around his "wounds".
  
  
• Continuity: When young Denny and Sand run out of the rainstorm into the doorway, Denny's coat is not wet.
  
  
• Continuity: Sand had a mole in her cheek, but the picture of her in the locket has no mole.
  
  

• Continuity: In the scene involving a poster of a diagram of The Spirit and his body (divided into lots of separate sections), it first shows him with no clothes on, and when we see the poster several seconds later he is wearing shorts.
  
  
• Continuity: Just before The Spirit's cape gets caught on the statue he is wearing his signature Converse style, white sole tennis shoes. While he is hanging from the statue they show his feet and he is wearing plain black shoes or boots. Immediately after, he has the tennis shoes on again.
  
  

• Continuity: SPOILER: When Spirit falls into the water after Paris stabs him, he is barefoot. When he leaves Lorelei, after deciding "it's not time to die yet", he is wearing shoes.
