Can a Persian rug win an Oscar?
Red-12525 August 2020
Rug is a movie in which the protagonist is a beautiful Persian rug. The rug is displayed on grass, under a tree, and the shifting patterns of light play across the rug's surface.

Their are nightingales woven into the rug. In Persian poetry, the Nightingale symbolizes "the devoted lover yearning to become one with the beloved." As we see the rug, we hear a voiceover reciting Persian love poetry, including references to nightingales.

I wouldn't suggest a long documentary in which we see nothing but the rug. However, six minutes of rug was delightful. This movie has too few IMDb ratings to mention in this review. I enjoyed Rug, and rated it 8.
