I WANT TO KEEP IT

Warning: Spoilers
Sonny (Jason Cavalier) using his special video game powers manages to break his shackles and join up with Ross (Kevin Woodhouse) a reporter who can handle himself in a fight. They have with them a magical sword forged from the steel used to pierce Jesus. It sends the person who handles the sword to go into a berserker mode, but they are not bullet proof. A Korean boss has a bunch of Kung Fu goons and some skanks go after them. The skanks shoot at people who are hiding behind walls. They don't get hit because they are standing in the open.

The film lacks a decent plot and is mostly fighting. I fell asleep several times watching it, so I had to rewind. It appears to have been taken from a video game. When Sonny (your character) goes after the bad guys, it shows how many guys he has killed in one corner and how many bullets he has left in another, Neither aspect weighed into anything.

Nudity (Chastity Chevy, Clara Piedalue)

I just threw up in my mouth

Some movies have mistakes, other movies are mistakes. Order of One: Kung Fu Killing Spree falls into the latter category. I'm not entirely sure what it was about, but I'll do my best. From what I can gather it is about a man trying to deliver a sword of power to a secret order. However, between him and the order lies Chinese gangsters, hooker assassins, prison rapists, etc. The film is an action comedy in theory, but in reality it is just a steaming pile of crap.

This film has zero idea of how action comedies work. I say that mostly because it doesn't even fit the first criteria of the genre... being funny. This film is nothing more than idiotic, mindless, silly, brain dead exploitation. The direction is shoddy, the script is pathetic, and the production value is non-existent. There is absolutely nothing to praise about this flick. There is no potential here and nobody involved with this production should consider continuing their film career. The film definitely gives off the vibe of just a bunch of friends getting together to make a movie and have a good time, but honestly I can't even figure out how they would like it. It is just too moronic and lifeless to be any fun. If someone told me that the filmmakers were trying to make the worst movie they possibly could, I would believe them. I think the "actors" in this film would be better suited appearing in martial arts training videos. If I have to say something positive about the movie I think I would commend the fair amount of people in the film who obviously had some sort of martial arts experience, as they seemed to know what they were doing in the otherwise pathetically stupid fight scenes. Other than that this "movie" is crap. Pure, unadulterated crap.

Maximum Impact with a touch of comedy

Warning: Spoilers
ORDER OF ONE has been high on my 'waiting to see' list of films for sometime due to my longtime interest in the old Hong Kong Kung Fu style films and the very favourable impression created by Melantha Blackthorne, the lead actress, in previous films 'Fable - Tooth of the Beast' and 'She Demons of the Black Sun'. Even though the film was made in 2006, it has only recently been released on DVD. An action packed movie was anticipated and I was certainly not disappointed. In fact, it is fair to say that there is something in this film to appeal to many tastes with its combination of various action styles (martial arts, swordplay, gun fights0, comedy and fantasy. There is definitely a seventies grindhouse feel to the production in which the story line proceeds at a steady pace with a stream of action sequences to keep the viewer alert and interested. Indeed, all concerned have managed to serve up a bubbling concoction of enjoyable and entertaining action.

From an explosive start, the high octane action is unrelenting with a stream of car chases, high kicking martial arts fights and shoot outs involving an array of weapons. The fight sequences, which are the film's strong point, were obviously well planned and skilfully executed with perfectly times and co-ordinated movements. This is not surprising considering the high quality film stunt backgrounds of many of the participants. The action moves slickly between appropriate and varied locations (outdoors and indoors) and this maintains the viewer's interest right to the final frames. I was particularly impressed with the filming of the fight sequences with excellent selection of camera angles especially in the scenes where the action takes place in confined spaces. Maximum impact is certainly achieved! The comedy element is neatly entwined mainly through the expressions of the two main male characters played by Jason Cavalier and Kevin Woodhouse and the one line quips delivered by Melantha Blackthorne and her sidekick Danielle Dubois - two young ladies who catch the eye whenever they appear or screen and cannot be ignored! Very often, even in the midst of violence, a rapid change of expression or quick comment injects the appropriate amount of unexpected comedy effect into the mayhem that is unfolding. The appearance of pop up screen captions at various points during action sequences also makes a contribution to the comedy feet with its nod towards action comic and computer game graphics.

Another strong point is found in the filming of the car chase scenes especially when they incorporate blondes with guns.

The producers have made the optimum use of all available resources to achieve a maximum entertaining effect. There is no superfluous dialogue or scene padding and there is a sense throughout the film of the enthusiastic participation of all concerned in the making of the film. In my book, Melantha Blackthorne has consolidated her reputation as a formidable action genre actress whilst I will certainly be on the look out for further films featuring the talents of Jason Cavalier and Kevin Woodhouse.

Melantha Blackthorne WAS BEHIND the camera ???
guestar5714 September 2011
Starring : Jason Cavalier There is Martial arts,Car chases,Women with guns.

The lead is a definite anti-hero who looks like John Cougar Mellencamp, No really ! Okay,Let's discuss Melantha Blackthorne and this film.Melantha besides being the fun part of the film, has lines and moves that interest the action fan.

Melantha was also the director-of-photography and captured some unbelievable scenes on film, Thanks to a script that was accurate in it's genre.

The sword prop is very cool emblem and and possessing some unique aspects in story and makes you wanna wear gloves when wielding.

The extras are really fun and capture a 'Grindhouse' aspect, That we saw coming sooner than later.

There are a lot of tributes to other films, Including ' Maniac Cop' and 'Quentin Tarantino films'!

"A kung fu acid trip"

It's a hard knocks life for convict Sonny. First he is sent to prison unfairly for six years and is being moved to a Super-max facility. While at a restaurant for a lunch break during his transport between jails he makes his escape. He meets up with slimy newspaper writer Ross Conrad. The unlikely duo team up to transport a sword known as "The Sword of Destiny" to what is known as "The Order" for safekeeping. The sword is allegedly forged from the very spear that was used to puncture Jesus on the cross. It gives amazing powers to who ever holds it.

Sonny and Ross have to take on Mr. Park, the man who runs all crime in the city. Mr. Park wants the sword and is willing to do anything to get it, including tempting Sonny with beautiful women remember, Sonny has been in prison for six years so he's been mostly with men as of late well we can assume so anyway. Sonny is weak when it comes to the ladies but still manages to fight them off at the appropriate moments, such as just before they are about to kill him.

Will Sonny safely deliver the sword? Will Mr. Park continue as crime-lord in the city? Will Sonny get together with the gorgeous blonde killer and get himself a piece of ..assassin? You'll have to find out for yourself by watching "Order of One".

I'm not a huge fan of the Kung Fu genera but I really like what these folks did. The story, in my opinion is pretty weak, but you can just tell these people made this movie with lots of heart and a ton of passion. It's got some pretty cool special effects, a bunch of great stunts and some well choreographed car chase scenes. It's a tribute to those 70s and 80′s Kung Fu movies, and if you like those, you'll really enjoy this one.

Scared Stiff Rating: 5/10 . "Everybody was Kung Fu fighting!"
