Variety is reporting that Once Upon A Time‘s Sarah Bolger is joining Olivia Wilde and Mark Duplass in Reawakening.
The Lionsgate film follows “a team of research students that discovers the secret to bringing subjects back from the dead — however, their actions result in a series of sinister consequences.”
David Gelb is directing from a script by Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater.
Before Once Bolger appeared in the aborted Lock & Key pilot, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Stardust and In America.

Ifta-winning actress and Clontarf-native Ruth Bradley (Love/Hate, Stardust) has swapped the decks of Julian Fellowes' 'Titanic' for seaport city Vancouver as she films the upcoming pilot 'Beauty and the Beast'. As reported on Iftn last month, Bradley has been cast as Princess Grace in the ABC pilot, starring alongside Darius Campbell of 'Pop Idol' fame, who will play beast Shiro.

Oscar nominated director Louis Marcus (1798 agus O'Shin, Famine) has been awarded the Screen Director Guild of Ireland and Foras na Gaeilge special prize for outstanding work with the Irish language at the Sdgi annual meeting which took place in Fallon and Byrne in Dublin last night. Louis Marcus was presented with a plaque and a prize of €5,000 by fellow directors including German director Oliver Hirschbeigel (Five Minutes Of Heaven, Downfall), Dearbhla Walsh (Little Dorrit, The Tudors), Paddy Breathnach (Red Mist, Shrooms), Lenny Abrhamson (What Richard Did, Garage) and Ciaran Donnelly (Titanic; Blood and Steel, Stardust).

Sunday, October 3rd will see new drama series, 'Love-Hate', launch on RTÉ One. The 4 x 1hour series stars Robert Sheehan (Misfits), Aidan Gillen (The Wire), Ruth Negga (Breakfast on Pluto) and Ruth Bradley (Stardust) and explores Dublin's modern gangland community. Iftn spoke with 'Love/Hate' screenwriter, Stuart Carolan (Little White Lie, Raw) to discuss the very personal inspiration behind the project, the cast members involved and his alternative approach to researching Dublin's gangland members. 'Love/Hate' is directed by David Caffrey (Divorcing Jack, Raw) and shot for seven weeks in October and November of last year around Dublin. The series starts with a catastrophic event which ignites the tensions in a small-time drug gang, family, friends and community who must live with the consequences.

Shooting has begun on a new RTÉ drama, entitled 'Love-Hate', in Dublin on 12 October. Reflecting life in modern gangland Dublin, the story for the four x one hour drama is written by Stuart Carolan (Raw, Little White Lie) and will be directed by David Caffrey (Divorcing Jack, Raw). Ifta winning actor Aidan Gillen (The Wire) heads the cast alongside 21 year old star of 'Cherrybomb', Robbie Sheehan. Other confirmed cast includes a lineup of young Irish actors such as Ruth Negga (Breakfast on Pluto), Ifta winning actress Ruth Bradley (Stardust) and Killian Scott. An RTÉ funded Octagon Films production, 'Love-Hate' is produced by Simon Massey, Suzanne McAuley (A Shine of Rainbows) and James Flynn (P.S. I Love You).

The Telegael Group, based in An Spideal Galway, and Studio Solas, based in Connemara, have together opened a North American office in Los Angeles, California, which will be headed by veteran producer Norman Siderow (Stardust) who has worked in both Ireland and the United States. Both companies offer a range of filming and post production facilities which they hope to develop and grow with their new West Coast office. This new base will enable the businesses to develop relationships with Us companies, to promote the range of facilities which both companies can offer and to highlight the advantages of Ireland as an international production location.
