• After meeting with the director, Giovanni Ribisi suggested casting his friend Jason Lee for the multiple-role of the "Hippie" and called him immediately. Coincidentally, just as Giovanni was speaking to Jason, the script was unwittingly being handed to Jason by his production partner.
