**SPOILERS** We all ran away from home when we were kids. Then we'd get chigger bit, cold, wet and come shleppin home. My folks knew where I was, or they figured it out without too much effort. See, there used to be this show on T.V. called "Circus Boy" - everyone was tempted. I only got about two miles away, but I was only nine, too.

THIS kid needed an operation on his eyes, and I felt for him; I got clobbered with a baseball bat when I was 11; it weren't no picnic, neither. Dan and the H.P. swung into action, and found the kid before he could completely wreck his eyes (they were hurt when he was hit).

They saved him. On the way, he had a little adventure. I wonder if the Staties remembered to pick up his bike from the guy who called them first? The H.P. was using 1956 Buick Super models with two doors and stick shifts. In one scene, Dan's looked like it had been sideswiped pretty good. The woman motorist was driving a Buick, too, probably a white over light blue. My own parents had one just like it; I'll bet hundreds of parents did. Gorman, the old, scruffy tramp couldn't make up his mind if he was a down on his luck tramp, or a card-carrying dirtbag. He was great, even if he did tell the kid to get lost. Which he already was; what a crumb (Gorman, that is).
